Exhorbitant parts markups, questionable labor hours.
We both know R&R of the ignition module is a five minute job, yet I was charged for an hour of labor. Also, list price for the MAP sensor is $100, and I know you folks pay nowhere near that.

David,
i agree that the MAP sensor charge was high.Usually i review all invoices before car is picked up,but i had to leave early.You are correct as the price should be $104.97.That is an OEM AC Delco part.
As far as labor,prices are quoted as per labor manuals.The book time is how technicians get paid.I agree it looks simple,but you have to factor in not only the basic installation,but going over all connections plus following up to verify that part is working correctly,issue is solved,car is road tested and rechecked again before delivery to customer.This i assure you takes more than 5 minutes.Plus we back it up with a lifetime labor warranty as well.
I am sure there are places that are cheaper,and i also know there are places more expensive.We like to think our prices are inline and the value we offer is second to none.
If you can stop by i will cheerfully refund the difference of the MAP sensor and I will offer your next oil change service on the house.
As i too am human,i can make an honest mistake,so i am glad you brought this to my attention and gave me the opportunity to resolve this.
