Absolutely worst place

I really wish I had saw reviews before deciding to use this place Every negative review is dead on correct. I wish I could give zero stars. This place is ab absolute dump. Customer serive is pstheyic snd very u professional, especially the rude a*s woman who works in the office. there The guy in the office is also awful, and made it clear that he doesn't respect people who use groupon. Its obvious that they think people who use groupon are poor people who have to use groupon. Newflash! Not everyone who uses groupon are poor. Some of us are smart and prefer saving money instead of wasting it. Do not waste your time at this place, especially if you are using groupon. They will treat you like sh*t. Its very cluttered and unsafe to drive in and out of the parking area. There is one way in and one way out and way too many cars sitting around. They literally had to move 2-3 cars, just to get my car in to be checked. You also have to back out into a very busy street when you leave, which is a saftey issue. Dont walk, run away from this place. GO ELSEWHERE and be treated with respect!

Scam

He had my car for 6 months car shield paid him to replace my back differential (transmission) when I received my there was a noise I took it back he said it was ok, 6 months later it fell put, I had my car tow to the nearest shop to me called am lube several times. He ont answer, he don't call back, he hung in my face, so I called from another phone and had the the new shop to call him he ha s up on them after tell him I'm gonna call carshield, he o.ly pays half the repair bill that carshield already paid him to repair.

Stay away from this place

This place is terrible I agree with all the negative reviews. This place takes appointments over the phone but when you go into the shop all you hear is excuses like my guy isn't here for this my guy isn't here for that come back next week. There is a reason why this guy is nice because he wants your business so he can take your money. Had done service here back before and found out I paid double at this place. Please read all the positive reviews and go experience yourself. This guy is a joke.

Terrible Experience

Simply terrible. I originally ended up at this place because of a Groupon deal on a carwash. I learned they can do carwashes and oil changes just fine, but they are simply terrible for anything more complex. I made the mistake of taking what I saw for the carwash to have them repair a window switch of mine. They failed miserably at that job. Not only could they not repair the window switch, but numerous items from my car were swiped. While I can't say they did the theft, I can say that either they did the theft or they left my car outside in a place where others could do the theft. The window switch would have taken 90 minutes at a dealership, but my car was at their facility for over a week. Not only that but with the cost of Lyft transportation to and from their location and the theft, the job likely costed more than a dealership. The difference is the dealership would have finished the job correctly and cleanly while they could not. The manager said that I could leave my car there and wait on as the job was not done, but then recanted when I actually arrived.

I started recording my conversations with the manager to protect myself and he saw me doing it and threw me out of this outfit. The worst experiences I've ever had with a repair shop. Beware and don't waste your time and energy. I felt drained after this whole experience and taken advantage of.

Great shop for all your needs

William really takes his time to explain him self and your car. Very honest young professionals and will make sure your car is taken care of honestly and efficiently.

Not trustworthy or professional

I used a groupon. They added extra charges/fees which ended up being the price I pay regularly at other places. Plus I was informed my brake pads needed replacing as they would not last even one more month. He assured me that warranty would cover it all, and pointed to a big stack of claims he had for the same issue. I was surprised to hear my brake pads were bad, and asked for a second opinion at another garage. Of course, they did not find anything wrong with them. AM is running a fraudulent racket with insurance/warranty and need to be reported.

Cheaters
They are the big scam CHEATERS and don't deserve a star. NEVER EVER go to this place and waste your time. I went there this morning to do the State inspection through Groupon after a phone confirmation call yesterday. They now says that the Mechanic is absent today and other excuses at the same time they are doing other repair work. I told them that i came here after calling, but they said they don't care. They are non professional, rude, unreliable and only after money. Their shop is also in a congested place where dozens of cars are piled up. Don't waste your time.

Smiling Faces Tell Lies

This saga with A M Lube and Auto Care started with me back in November 2019. William boasts about being a “family-owned” business. The other business he has with his brother is a used car dealership and shop. That is a terrifying thought. Unfortunately, William’s behavior has been so egregious that it continues now into September 2020. Ironically, I am not a person who leaves reviews. It was William’s bribe of goods and services that convinced me to leave my first Google review. This will be my third and final review on Google. After incurring the financial injury of $2,544.11(not including fee and interest fees from the loans) I decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I’ve done a bit of research and noticed that most of his reviews are regarding oil changes and car detailing. This is William’s mode of operation. He gains your confidence by being cordial during small jobs. Times are hard and I just want to share what happened to me in hopes of alerting and educating someone else about the scams and poor business practices that I experience.

My car is only worth about $1600 on a trade-in. AM lube & Auto Care advertise all of these extra services and discounts if you spend a certain amount of money or use their loan service provider. I use both of the loan service providers they use and spent much more than the $500 required for the free car detail or oil change. The saddest part is that the only work that was actually done was my brake pads were changed. There is so much more to this story which I put in the Better Business Bureau complaint. I am told that it will be made public. I will update my review when it becomes available. You won’t find a referral to A M Lube and Auto Care on AAA, BBB, AARP or Consumer Reports but you can leave and read reviews on Yelp, Google Review, SureCritic, Groupon, and RepairPal.com. RepairPal is a CarMax affiliate. If A M Lube and Auto Care are a CarMax mechanic I would stay far away from CarMax. I will be leaving a review on every platform available and sounding the alarm of every social media I have. BUYER BEWARE!!!
