Fred American Automotive has performed many maintenance services over the years for your vehicle. In response to your negative comments I must respond. First your car came to my shop on a flatbed. The car would not even start with a jump box. So we charged it over an hour with our battery charger. My tech got it started so we took it to the shop. The tech checked the battery, alternator and starter. The cheap economy battery you bought only had eight volts. Certainly not enough to start the car. Again we charged your cheap battery. Again only 8 volts. Your car will not start without 12 volts. We put in a good battery with a two year warranty. Car started right up. You paid for the repair. I even gave you back the cheap battery. I lost money on that. No core to turn in. You came back later that day and said the battery light was on. today Charles spent 2 hours on your car checking fuses, relays, wires etc. bottom line you also had a bad alternator. We spent almost 6 hours on your car today. We only charged you 2.5 . No diag fee. We really gave you a break. I lost money fixing your car today! Finally your bill to fix your car was around $550. Alternator around 270 and labor about the same. Sales tax was the balance. That repair should have been in the $700.00 range. So bottom line. Your car has over 200,000 miles on it. It's old and you can expect to have many more repairs. You had two issues with you car. A cheap battery and bad alternator. We did the work. Car is repaired properly and I expect to be paid for the work we did.
