ASR automotive !
I’ll always go here from now on! They were super helpful, and very generous. They had my car out very quickly and made it very easy for me to understand what they were going to do with my car. They saved us a hell of a lot of money!

Numerous issues after ASR worked on my vehicle.
James the owner of ASR tried going through his insurance company to try to settle before court. I already anticipated, that was a waste of time. I look forward to court tomorrow. More to come.

Couldn't reach a settlement today

Many issues with my truck caused by ASR
⚠️ ⚠️WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️
READ FIRST
Long story short, I bought an older truck and wanted everything gone through. This included the engine, transmission, transfer case, suspension, body mounts, air conditioning, radiator, axels, drive shafts, seals, emergency brake, drums and brakes. We agreed on $10,000 shop budget if I paid for most of the parts.

Issues while vehicle was being worked on or completed:
* Dropped my transmission onto the ground and breaking the bell housing.
* Throttle cable became disconnected while driving.
* Their vehicle lift caused damage to my vehicle.
* Numerous loose/untorqued bolts.
*Air conditioning brackets not installed.
* Missing bolts. Fell out while driving. Lack of being torqued down. On of which was on the alternator.
*Wrong bolts installed on starter. Starter was literally ready to fall out.
*Transfer case bracket not installed.
* Front and rear shocks not primed before being installed.
* Throttle body injection not working properly.
*Installing parts wrong i.e. gaskets, steering stabilizers, fuel pump.
* A bunch of different fluid leaks and air leaks.
*Wrong intake manifold was installed. Lead mechanic at the time had me order that one.
*** Having to pay another shop thousands of dollars to fix what ASR couldn't do after several attempts made by ASR.

I HAVE MADE ASR AWARE THAT REIMBURSEMENT WILL HAPPEN. UPDATES WILL BE GIVEN AS NEEDED

Honest and reliable
I have only written a handful of reviews throughout my life, but this place is so awesome I felt the need to.

I have had my car battery die in the ASR parking lot twice now while visiting one of the businesses nearby, and both times they were more than happy to give me a jump. They have always come across as honest and just genuinely good hearted people there. I went in yesterday to get a new battery, windshield wipers, brake light and a headlight. As usual, the customer service was awesome - attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. Their prices were reasonable compared to the going rate of parts plus labor, plus I was in and out in a half hour.

Given the tendency of auto repair shops to overcharge people, especially a young woman who clearly doesn't know what she's doing, honesty is the number one thing I look for in an auto repair shop. I had mentioned I was strapped for cash because of a dog emergency and was hoping to do the lights myself to save some cash. Instead of trying to sell me on it, the mechanic said it was easy peasy and even went above and beyond by walking me through exactly how to do it.

All in all, great people and great work. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest and quality repair experience.

DO NOT bring your vehicle here..
DO NOT bring your vehicle to ASR. They seem really nice until they make a mistake in which case they will refuse to take any responsibility whatsoever and just pawn your vehicle back off on you like they had nothing to do with it. I brought my Tacoma here for a simple alignment because I changed the struts myself. They called me a couple hours later to tell me the bolts were seized, and they wanted to keep it overnight to let the bolts soak. Strange, but I figured maybe they were busy. They texted me the next morning to let me know the truck was finished, but they wanted me to test drive it (weird, right?) because they “couldn’t complete a full alignment because the bolts are still seized”. I went to pick it up, they hand me the keys, and I go out to my truck to find it completely dead. They had drained the battery entirely. I know they drained the battery, because as soon as I realized it was dead, I looked up at my interior light setting. It was set on the “Door” setting, yet I have always kept it on the “Off” setting for as long as I’ve owned the truck. I went back in to tell Steve, and he acted surprised. He gave me a jump, but as soon as it started, it was struggling real hard just idling (which was completely new to me). I drove down Link, and my truck almost immediately stalled at the light, so I had to run the red light to keep from stalling. I went back and told Steve what was going on, and he just kept saying “we didn’t do anything to your truck.” Being as nice as I possibly could, I told him the alignment feels the exact same, and now my truck isn’t even running. After he kept acting like they did nothing to my truck, I went out to try and start it again, and it was completely dead again. Steve pulled out his battery tester and insults my intelligence by telling me my alternator is bad like I don’t know what he’s doing. He also said “it’s unfortunate your alternator went bad while it was here. That’s just an unfortunate coincidence because we didn’t touch anything under the hood.” But I know they did their “complimentary inspection”, but he wouldn’t tell me what that entailed. He could tell I was pissed because my truck wasn’t running now, so he decided to not charge me for the alignment that they didn’t do anyway because “I wasn’t happy with the alignment” (I seriously can’t make this up). So as soon as my battery charged a bit, I got my truck out of there as soon as possible, but with a drained battery, I got as far as Mulberry and Riverside before my truck died on me. I had to call my GF to take me to get a new battery. I put in a new battery, and it still kept stalling on me whenever it idled, but thankfully it would start right up every time. As soon as I got home, I just parked it and decided I’d deal with it the next day because I was so irritated with the whole situation. Next morning, I drive my GF’s car back over to ASR and ask for any and all paperwork they have on my truck: that way I can try to figure out what they did. Steve then tells me they have no paperwork because they didn’t charge me (shady, right?). And then he progressively becomes more rude and begins rolling his eyes telling me they did nothing to my truck. THEN, the mechanic comes out and admits that my truck was running just fine when he pulled it into the shop, but it died on him during the inspection, and he had to jump it to get it out of the shop. He literally tells me this, yet they NEVER MENTIONED ANY OF THIS TO ME WHEN I INITIALLY PICKED IT UP! They still won’t do anything, so I go home, start it to find out the check engine light had now come on which I’ve NEVER seen before. Turns out there was a code coming from the Mass Air Flow system. After two more days of headache, I finally figure out they didn’t close the air filter box properly. Fixed it and the truck runs perfectly fine again. After all this and $170 on a new battery and MAF sensor, I still needed an alignment. Went to Christian Brothers, they cranked out the alignment in 45 mins. Like I said, DO NOT go to ASR.

Amazing Service
The staff was amazing. My Toyota Highlander was leaking buckets of oil and they were able to take her in right away and completely fix the problem. They were very knowledgeable and even had a report with photos to share what was wrong and how it would be fixed. I would highly recommend them! I won’t go anywhere else for my car needs.

I recently took my car in for an inspection and they were thorough! I was also provided photos of the problems. No made up claims of repairs needed. I will have them inspect my next car before I buy it.
