Just spoke to you on the phone. Yes I your son made a appt with me yesterday stating oreillys did a FREE diagnostic and told him there was a problem with the transmission but did not know whay exactly, i made a appt for the car to be dropped off at 8:30 and we contacted him after hooking up and checking the car out to confirm the trans problem. yes the trans needed replaced as it is bad. we did take the time to work up a est and called him and gave him the price and he said he would call back. A short time later he did call back and told us he will not be repairing car at that time we again informed all he owed us for was the diagnoses charge and his words where no problem. we do charge for diagnoses and we are heavily invested in equipment and training to do so,our techs are also paid for this work. I'm sorry if there was a communication problem and we also charged a diag last time the car was in the shop a year ago however we applied that to the repair for you as we would have this time if you would have fixed the car. As we discussed on the phone your where present with your son in the office when he paid and i gave him all the info on the repairs needed and nothing was said about the charge? and as we agreed on the phone not paying for a preformed service would not be right.
