Over charges parts and labor
I didn’t know Bobs service center had new ownership when I brought my Rav 4 in for inspection. I was very disappointed with the changes.
The parts and labor were unfairly high. The mark up on parts was 100% or more. Wiper blades that can be bought nearby for under $30 each cost me $64.88 each plus $46.40 labor to install, about a 5 minute task. They post labor charges at $145 per hour. That should have been about $12 in labor.
To complete inspection I needed a fuel vapor canister that retails nearby for $439. Bobs sent me a quote of $904.30 plus $94.25 in labor. Then sent a second quote for $786.63 plus labor. Finally after I told Jen the price I found nearby for the exact same part, she changed me $550 plus labor.
I got a AAA battery for $239.99 but was charged $78.30 to install.
A $13 fuel cap cost $25.19.
$145 for diagnostics and $145 to change 4 tires that I brought with me.
Lastly, I paid $217 to remove and replace a flange holding up my exhaust. The next day I found my tailpipe hanging down. My husband had to wire it up till we could get back and have it fixed correctly.
This is a AAA certified service station!!
I will pass this complaint on to AAA and never do business with Bobs Service Center again.

Good, quick, reasonably priced service but need to invest in alignment equipment
Appreciate the quick turnaround and reasonable prices, but only found out after the service was performed that an alignment couldn't be done at Bob's. I have future work that needs to be done that requires an alignment and will likely need to go somewhere else for the whole job.

Bob's was suggested by a friend. I would call them again. Repair was successfull but....these days garages do not seem to have parts in the garage. Must order parts, wait for them to arrive, then get in line for the installation. Seems to be the standard operating procedure.
