Oil Consumption Drama
I purchased a pre owned 2018 Hyundai Sonata Aug 2021. I was assured that if there were any issues I was covered 100%. I drove the car for 6 Months but every time I went for my oil changes at Valvoline, I was told the oil level coming in was very low. They told me to take it to the place I purchased it, so I did. First, I was told to just let the engine seize and don't add oil and they would replace my engine. I didn't want to do that because I am not a Shyster. I wanted to do it by the books, so we stated an Oil consumption test. It failed. Then they said I had a bad valve cover seal, so they replaced that, started a new test and it failed again. Then a combustion cleaning. After the cleaning it only lost a quarter of a quart of oil, I was told so they considered it to be just fine. Well as soon as I drove it Hwy miles it lost over a quart of oil in less than 400 miles. Now I'm told that I have to start all over again. So Now I'm working with Hyundai of Turnersville and so far, it's much better. Only waited 45 minutes for oil consumption startup and not 4 hours. I still don't understand why they don't off a Loaner when they do things to my car? Wouldn't that be the right thing to do when you are sold a car with a bad engine? This was the first time I ever purchased a Car from a Dealership. Never again. I honestly feel if I was a man or a loud arrogant woman this would have been resolved a year ago. But I am a single 60-year-old widow. Just shameful. I even had a friend buy a car from this place. But Thank God his care has no issues.

Engine burning excessive oil no call back from Burns Hyundai still waiting over a month without a car!
We have been patiently waiting for Burns Hyundai of Marlton, NJ service to call us about our engine failure. It has now been over a month without our car and we are still patiently waiting. We have a Hyundai Tucson 2017 that was stalling out and at one point stalled in the middle of a busy intersection when we first asked about the problem we were told if there was no warning light than we could wait, and we did wait to finally be told our oil was low. They neglected to tell us there was a problem with these engines for certain models and years ours being one of them. So this happened again instead of them addressing it the first time like one would assume they would have to prevent future stalls and possible accidents but they didn’t unfortunately. It happened again stalling out over and over. I checked the oil and found it to be low approximately 3.5 quarts. I knew this was not right. So Burns Hyundai told us to do an oil consumption test which we did which confirmed the vehicle was burning to much oil per their standards. So they did a flush of some kind and were told it might work in 7-8 cases. So we did that. After 1000 miles it did burn less oil, and service told us to bring it in another 1000 miles to check it and we did to find the oil burned at least 2 quarts within 1000 miles again not acceptable to Hyundai standards. So we brought the 2017 Tucson back to service. Tried to request a loner at there charge to be told we have to wait to see if Hyundai will approve a new engine which is what we were told they would do if flush did not work. They said Hyundai has so many complaints it takes 2-3 days for them to respond on any inquiry. So we waited again several days past 2-3 days and finally they asked if we had gotten any work done on vehicle outside of Hyundai and we didn’t and told them that. Already felt like we were getting the run around but decided to be patient to no avail. Well over a month with no response from Burns Hyundai of Marlton, NJ. No car for over a month, no contact from them on the status, and here we are time ticking and have no idea if they are even going to honor there 100,000 mile warranty as they say. Worst experience ever! We are not wealthy and bought the vehicle because it was economical and had a 100000 mile warranty. However, this is beyond poor service hope no one else has to experience this brand of customer service.

Does not honor 100,000 mile warranty
We have been without our 2017 Hyundai Tucson for over a month now. Originally, my wife’s Tucson started stalling even once in the middle of a busy intersection. They told us after service it was low on oil that what was causing the stalling. But never bothered to tell us at that point these vehicles have been having engine problems to the point they may need replacement. To make matters worse no one from Hyundai service in Marlton has called us to tell us if Hyundai is going to replace our engine. Also during this time they said they would not pay for a loner vehicle until we get word from Hyundai they will cover it and we are still holding our breath unfortunately. Long story short the engine started burning an excessive amount of oil. We were told to do an oil consumption test which we did. The consumption test indicated it was burning too much oil. Hyundai service claimed we needed to do a flush of engine not sure technically what is done but that it works 7-8 times out of 10. After the first 1,000 miles after the flush it seemed promising as only approximately 1/4 of quart of oil burned. So we were told by service to bring back in another 1,000 miles and we did to find that more than 2 quarts had burned way over normal. Service told me due to so many complaints it takes Hyundai 2-3 days to respond to any inquiry. We waited more than a week to be asked did we ever take our 2017 Tucson to anyone else for service and it seemed odd that it worked somewhat the first 1,000 and not the second thousand. We told them we we had received service only from Hyundai Marlton and will have to wait and see what Hyundai says if they will replace engine which is what service told us they would do if flush did not work. We ares still waiting beyond frustrated. This is the epitome of NON customer service. Have to call them soon I guess they are trying to give me to run around and not stand by there warranty. Hope I don’t have to get attorney should not have to please write in reviews I’m quite sure they have done this to others.

NEVER had a service problem in 20 years
I started with Burns GMC Terrain. I loved it but I returned it the day the engine started to smoke in their parking lot. Problems? Absolutely not! Within days, they took it back, and I left with my first Hyundai Accent without payments. That car was wonderful on gas mileage, easy to park and I drove it close to four years before I had an accident which would have cost too much to repair. Burns came with the tow truck and took me back to the show room. When every thing was settled, I purchased another Accent which I am still driving 50,000 miles later. Including today's visit, I have never had anything but excellent service, courtesy, easily made appointments, and top quality parts available when needed. Who could want anything else? PS. I don't consider myself lucky !

Service department is the worst.
Has any one had dealings with Burns Hyundai Marlton, NJ. I have had such a bad experience with the service department. And I’m curious if this is just me. No one is ever available to take your call and they do not call back. My appointment for my sons car was on Fri 8/19 at 1.30pm we dropped the car at 11.00am no call I called at 5pm yes they had the car no one had looked at it and someone would call me Monday. They did not I waited until 4.30 Monday because they all leave at 5pm from what I was told the last time I called. And NO one had gotten to the car but would tomorrow and someone would call me. They did not I called and was told it was a sensor issue I would have the car on Thursday, I did not. Friday my son picked up the card and did not even make it off the lot and another light came on airbag. He turned around went back and was told everyone was gone for the day bring it back Monday you’ll be taken right away. Well 730 call this morning and surprise surprise no one is available to talk to us. but he can have an appointment for 815.

Terrible location
This place is terrible! Thank goodness we are working with a case manager, getting all the details along with the recordings I have and the lack of customer service, my lawyer said it looks like a great case. How y’all giving customers the runaround then after having our vehicle for two months, now y’all scream it’s staffing issues. If it was staffing issues why not say that up front, because it’s plenty of businesses with staffing issues around the country so being honest would make customers more understanding. All this testosterone up here but not an ounce of confidence to own up to their sorry ass mistakes, and their lack of customer service. But as soon as you in their face up in person now they have a lot of information. How the fuck you do not have information and updates over the phone but you got updates in person. Then the pussy ass managers don’t wanna deal with customers but got these sorry ass servicemen who lie and keep loops. Coming from a manager in the customer service industry lies on lies on lies, ends up being a bad karma that will catch up to you. Once again I’m grateful for the case managers from corporate because they can give us all the things we needed to provide to the lawyer. Also for anyone wondering this is a private business so therefore they are suable. Also pay attention as well to the reviews, we still don’t have our car back, but just like we are waiting, the lawyer wants to see if when we do get it back if it’ll be more issues, that’ll be like the icing on the cake. Don’t take your car to them. You know business bad if the managers don’t respond to reviews lol, corporate management 101! Also they fucked up because my spouse is a disabled veteran, this will go to the highest extent.

Previously I had published an issue I had not with customer service (I was very much kept up to date on my car as well as assisted in about every way possible) but more with a reoccurring mechanical issue. I do appreciate the timely callback and help given to set up an appointment to try and resolve this issue. Other places I know wouldn't have reached out like this.

Could have been a great service, but not thorough enough
As stated in my overall review, this could have been a great service. However, since my car battery is almost dead less than a week later, it is not. This has happened multiple times over the last couple years and it still isn't resolved despite going to the same location.

Service team was great from the scheduling of my appointment to working with me to diagnose the issue with my vehicle without making me feel silly. Turned out to be a TSB, and it was taken care of quickly. Warranty honored, and my vehicle was treated like it was a showroom car (it isn’t!).

I had several repairs done on my car.
It was easy to schedule an appointment however it took 2 weeks to get an appointment. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They explained everything they would be doing. Didn’t have to wait to check in and out. Prices was fair for what was done on the car. The only down side was I had to wait 2 days for a part to come in. I would still recommend Burns for service. Thank you!
