UNDERHANDED, LIARS

HAD MY CAR TOWED BY THEM THROUGH AAA. THEY UNDERHANDEDLY ADDED ON $125 BECAUSE THE DISPATCH GUY KNEW I WAS AT HIS MERCY. WHEN I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS GOING TO CALL AAA ON HIM TO REPORT HIS GREED - HE CHANGED THE REASON CODE WITH AAA TO ENSURE THAT HE GOT HIS MONEY. CROOKED IS A WORD THAT COMES TO MIND. IN A WORLD THAT HAS DECIDED THAT THERE IS NO RULES - YOU FIT IN PERFECTLY. BUT MAYBE THIS REVIEW WILL CALL ATTENTION TO YOUR GREED. SHAME ON YOU

You lost control of your commercial vehicle and had an accident. Even though your AAA does not cover your situation, we were nice enough to get AAA to cover about $45 of your recovery and tow. You were advised of the $125 charge before we towed you. You were free to call another company, althogh I suspect that you would have paid much more. Shame on you for your ignorance. You have already complained to AAA, and they have told you that you are wrong.

Absolutely the worst experience I ever had with a repair shop.

I went to start my car and all I heard was a click. I took the battery out and brought it to Auto Zone. It was tested and determined that the battery was good. So I bought a starter just in case. This happened on Saturday afternoon. When I stopped by Riggins I was told the car couldn't be looked at until Monday. Mind you, I had to be out of my hotel on Sunday, so I had to find a room for the night. By late afternoon on Monday I was notified by the mechanic that my starter was defective and he had to purchase another starter and installed it. He then told me I needed a relay switch that had to be ordered through the dealership and it couldn't be delivered until Wednesday, which eventually became Friday. Mean while I had to rent a car. When I went to the car to get my insurance papers I decided to try and start it, and the car made the exact same sound as when I brought it in, meaning it was not the starter. I confronted the mechanic about this and he said it was my original defective starter, which I told him it couldn't be because I already had returned the defective starter. HE BASICALLY LIED TO ME. By Friday my relay switch came in.. apparently was not the solution. He went on to tell me that I had an after market remote starter. Which I told him has nothing to do with the problem. I then told him didn't know what he was doing as he just continued to order parts. He then began cursing at me and told me to get the car off the property. A little while later I got a call from someone who apologized for the misunderstanding and would I please be patient. After that, . . I got a call from someone named Barney who may be the owner of the shop and also apologized. He asked me if I would allow him to fix the problem. He also told me he had not been the shop for weeks. He eventually put the diagnostic tester on and determined it was a positive cable wire harness that needed to be replaced. Once Barney took over the situation was corrected, but not after nearly two weeks. Bottom line, $850 for car rental and $850 for car parts. Had the diagnostic tester been applied initially none of this would have happened. One other thing.. the only Triple AAA rating plaque I saw hanging on the wall was dated from 1987, also all the other plaques were all about ten years old.
DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. I found out later, There's a shell station that does repairs and are much more trustwothy

Riggins Tow Truck Driver (w)reckless driving on highways

Tonight I along with about 5 other drivers experienced and witnessed careless and reckless driving by one of the Riggins Cape May tow trucks.As this driver was on Route 42,its speeds were in excess of 70-75mph,cutting in and out of traffic,and would turn on the yellow flashing lights so cars would get out of the way and once passing those cars,the driver would then turn on his rear flood lights and slow down to blind them.That was not only to 3-4 different drivers,but including me as well.While one pickup driver got his tag number,I chose to pull alongside and video record the tow truck driver,alon with the trucks info and dot number for follow up.A slap on the wrist would be too simple for these type of people that operate heavy duty trucks,and an accident waiting to happen.
