Engine diagnostic check
I was very impressed with Danny’s Automotive. They were able to work me in on very short notice and gave me detailed information about my car’s diagnostic check and possible problems. Nothing needed replaced this time but I will definitely be bringing my car back here for any further work or maintenance. Everyone is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Danny’s Automotive for mechanical or tire issues.

Danny’s supports the troops
The mechanics at Danny’s are great. I was on leave and broken down in town. Time was of the essence. I explained my dilemma at Danny’s. They pushed me to the front and got the part I need in that day and me back on the road. I would’ve been screwed if it wasn’t for them. Thank you so much.

Great Service, Honest and Efficient!!!
Initially, I took my vehicle to another shop in Dahlonega and they manipulated, out and out lied on numerous occasions - had my Tahoe for a total of four months. On the advice of a friend I reached out to Danny's Automotive. Their office manager Sherry was very understanding and helpful. She was able to get my vehicle right in for an engine replacement, and I had it back in one week. After the prior experience I had gone through it was soooooooooooooooooooo wonderful to work with people who were efficient and honest!! I would highly recommend Danny's Automotive after the experience I had with them!!

I have NEVER had BETTER SERVICE. IN MY LIFE. PERIOD........
MISS, SHERRY. You are a dolly. You took care of me all day. When I say to the reader of this that the customer service here is like no other. They truly took care of me. I am extremely grateful for how you treated me like family and make sure that i was taken care of. I cannot be anymore grateful. Don't think twice of giving them a call when you need someone on your side. They are the most HONEST people that I have ever meet and that's HARD to find. TO THE CREW OF DANNY"S THANK YOU.

Horrible service!!!!
Called on 6/18 to ask if I could tow in my van there to be fixed. They said they would love to have it so it was dropped off that day around 3pm. When I arrived the entire parking lot was full of cars and I was told that it would be Friday or Monday before it would be looked at because they had 47 cars there waiting to be fixed and we're having trouble getting mechanics to work. That's fine but it would have been professional to have been told this on the phone before its towed it there. But I was still optimistic that they would have it fixed within 2 weeks tops. I had already been broken down in the woods for a week and had a mechanic trying to fix it for two days but i was broke down 30 minutes away from a parts store or tools so it wasn't easy to work on there. We had already replaced the ignition control module, the coil, and the distributor and told Dannys that the next thing we were going to try was the ECM but we wanted a professional to look at it to make sure. I waited for a phone call Friday and Monday but didn't hear anything. I called Tuesday 6/23 and was told a mechanic had looked at it but hadn't found anything. I wasn't told what they checked or what they were going to check next. I had left some things in my van I needed so went on monday 6/29 to the garage. The seat and doghouse was still intact so I know they couldn't have looked at too much stuff considering most of the motor isn't accessable under the hood(I doubt they had looked at anything yet to be honest). When I asked the status I was told since it's Monday morning they had no idea. I expected a call sometime that afternoon or at least by Tuesday but again I heard nothing. I patiently waited until Thursday 7/2(it's been at the garage a full two weeks now) before calling again. I left a message that morning with no return call so I called back right before they closed and expressed my concerns about not ever getting a call or update. On Friday I finally received my first phone call to tell me that they had ordered a part. On Tuesday I got a call telling me that they had tried to change out the ignition but that didn't fix it and that they believe it's the ECM which I had already told them so why did it take 2 weeks for this info? I was told I would need to find an ecm and bring it to them to put in which I thought was strange but whatever I just wanted my van back. I started looking for the part but needed the part number. When I asked if they could pull the ECM for me so i could get one ordered they said they were too busy to do it that day so I had someone else come pull it for me which only took 5 minutes top. Since Danny's wanted 179(ford charges 95) to reprogram a new ecm it was cheaper to send out my original ECM to be refurbished. When I went monday evening 7/20 after the van being there over a month it was still tore completely apart. Wires were tore apart under the dash and all kinds of stuff left unhooked and unplugged. Not once did they offer to have any put it back together so thankfully I had someone that could put the ECM back in and put it back together. When we got it back together and tried to start it the van will now start because the ECM is fixed but now it won't stay started unless the ignition is in the cranking position because Danny's technician messed up my ignition. When I called Tuesday to advise them why my van was still there and that I was coming back after work to try and get someone to fix my ignition they broke. I was treated really ugly and rude. Danny said i needed to bring them back the keys or it would be impounded. By this point I did not trust them to work on my vehicle anymore so I had to spend another 150 to have my van towed to another garage to fix what Danny's tech broke. They did refund me what i paid their tech to break my igition but didn't offer to try to fix it. I expected a mechanic to be working on it not a technician but they don't have enough mechanics. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a garage!!

Hit the pause button
I went to Danny for a minor repair, and a they performed it, found a more major item that had to be repaired, and immediately. For safety reasons. With three hours before close and a three hour repair to perform, they stopped what they were doing on any recreational repairs and put my job at the front of the line. They scrambled for parts and had me on the road by 5:00. I sat, feeling a bit uncomfortable, until the office manager explained that a mechanic could stop his work on a different car, until the next day, and focus on me. They very much cared for me at that moment. A big thank you goes out to the entire staff at Danny’s.

I dropped my car off for an oil change at 8 AM and it was done by lunch time when I returned. All fluids were checked and I had been given an inspection on other aspects of the car. Thanks Danny!

Forgot to rotate tires and charged me for it...they made it right.
The mechanic didn't rotate the tires. I was still charged for it. I didn't notice it until after I left. I had to bring it back later to have them rotate them. Just made it a bit inconvenient. Especially for it being a work vehicle. Took time away from my work day for two days. Had other work done from there and they were fine for the other stuff.

piece of mind
My son goes to school out of state, so we service the car between semesters. Having Danny and army of skilled mechanics always provide piece of mind that the car is in its best shape before it leaves Georgia.
