Safety Issues

Doug's sent my son and I in our truck they repaired that was unsafe. We lost our brakes and went through traffic light. We had 7 sets of brake pads, 7 rotors, 4 calipers in a 13 month period ..still messed up!! Doug's told us our calipers where good 3 times but then they ruined our new parts. They refused to warrantee work blaming it on our calipers that they inspected for us. They left Emergency brake unhooked and didn't inspect their brake work allowing us to drive it. Doug's told us they are busy!

Convinced us we needed water pump and we don't believe we ever did. Out a few thousand and have a truck that don't work! Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere.

Brake Robbery

BRAKE ROBBERY

We took our truck her last year for brake work. Was told we need rear brakes plus rotors and both calipers were good in rear. He told us front brakes were all good and whole truck was good.

Three months later our front brakes are completely shot plus one caliper. Was told other caliper was good. Month later the caliper they claimed was GOOD ruined our rim it was so hot from sticking. Ended up needing to redo the brake/rotor and caliper AGAIN.

12 months since rear brakes now they are completely gone again. They refuse to warrantee brakes or rotors because they claim our caliper was bad even though they are the ones that told us it was good months earlier. This happened 3 times in a twelve month period. They say one caliper is good and it ruins your brakes/rotors. We barely use this truck it is a spare. Drove under 5000 miles all year. 13 month span 7 sets of brake pads and rotors. 4 calipers. Truck still messed up! Seems suspicious....

This week the brakes in back were grinding so bad we took it back again. They told us we needed brakes/rotors and again only one caliper. I said I want both done! They did both and the brakes and while driving it home the brakes locked up and my son and I could of been killed. The grinding from their brake work in back threw the whole truck into the street at a stop light(THANK GOD NOBODY WAS COMING ON THIS TYPICALLY VERY BUSY AREA). I was terrified as well as our son with autism. What an ordeal..to make matters worse they didn't even hook up our EMERGENCY BRAKE or inspect the brakes after installing them. Sent us out the door into harms way! Only thing mechanic would say was ...sorry we are busy!

They also told us we needed a water pump because our heater was not working right. The mechanic claims it had no fluid when we brought it there. My husband checks the vehicles regularly and this just isn't true. The truck has never EVER overheated or been low on fluid. No signs of it needing a water pump at all. Other than heat won't modulate. This last trip cost us $1600 and our truck is now undriveable. Feel robbed and heartbroken. You should be able to trust your mechanic. Mechanic refused to take any ownership and pretty much told me I was making up stories. He accused both my husband and I of over reacting! The owner has young men running everything now and it is going to put him out of business.

Any good honest company would of not kept charging for the same brakes/rotors over and over again in a 12 month period, after telling you your calipers were good. I agreed to repairs only because mechanic assured me my heat would be working with new water pump as well as a/c. NEITHER work still or our brakes. Mechanic is claiming he don't remember our conversation being like that. We wish we never ever took our truck here. Was trying to support small local company. Don't let their charm fool you!
