Worst service department EVER!
I wish I could give ZERO stars. Absolutely WORST customer service of any dealership, or business in general, that I have had the distinct displeasure of working with! The service advisors and their boss, the service director: Pedro, are a misogynistic “boys club” who treat their customers worse than literal s*** on the bottom of their shoes. I will NEVER give this dealership (Folsom Lake Hyundai) another penny of my business for service or otherwise, and I would advise against anyone using this dealership! Go to the Hyundai in Roseville, they are much more personable and they actually CARE about their customers and their customers’ well being!

Do not shop at Folsom Lake Hyndai
Folsom Lake Hyundai
I purchased a pre-owned Hyundai Tucson at 11:00pm on a Thursday evening. By 5:30pm the next day, Friday, the car was malfunctioning. The radio would not turn off, the volume control did not work, nor did the back -up camera. I called immediately asking to return the car. I was told no, I had driven if off the lot. They offered to come pick up my car and bring me a loaner. Then they had no one to bring the loaner, I needed to bring the car back to them, and they didn't have a loaner.
I reminded them about the email they sent earlier that day letting me know how they wanted happy customers. Then they found a loaner.
I dropped off my car, and took the loaner. Five weeks later, and literally only one call from the dealership letting me know what was happening, my car is ready.
I spoke to the service representative on Friday, after I called again to check on my car's status. They told me it was ready. I said I would be tomorrow and was told " see you tomorrow." That was it.
I came Saturday to pick up the car and the keys and paperwork could not be found. It was after 5:00. Oz, sales manager, looked for the keys as they leave them and the paperwork for afterhours pick -ups. He calls service and says they said they didn't know I was coming. I let them know that, I said, yesterday. There is no more I can do than communicate that.
Oz mentioned bringing the car back on Monday. I told him I could not come back out. It’s an hours drive to the dealership. I have work all day, and a child to see to in the evening. I said I could bring it back Saturday. Oz said they could have someone drop off my car and pick up the loaner, I said fine.
On the 18th of March, I received a call from “service” asking me to bring the loaner back. I told them I could have it there on Saturday if they could not come and get it. I was threatened with a daily fee for use of the loaner. I was told a voicemail was left, there is no voicemail from them. Then the agent says I told you the service hours, he did not.
My experience with Folsom Lake Hyundai reminds me of babysitting as a teenager. Where something goes wrong and the kids blame each other. The sales and “service” departments seem to have no protocols and blame each other. As if they are two different companies with no connection.
My bother recently purchased a truck from CarMax. He found an issue and they took it back immediately, gave him no issues with the loaner, and let him pick something else off the lot. I sold my car to them and had a good experience. I will be shopping there in the future.
Folsom Lake Hyundai extolled the virtues of their certified pre-owned check list, only to sell me a lemon, make me shame them into providing a loaner, have the worst communication I have seen in a long time, and then add the cherries of lies and threats on top.
The funniest part is the public responses they give on review sites. They seem so reasonable and ready to work with you. Do not believe it, as soon as the public eye is gone so it the pretense.

They are wonderful when they want your money, horrible after they get it. As the staff at Folsom Lake Hyundai like to say, “ I am just the messenger.” The message is : Do yourself a favor and seek your car from another dealership.

Horrible Experience with Folsom Lake Hyundai
Shop elsewhere This dealership has horrible "service", they seem to have no protocols and blame the other department, sales blames “service” and vice versa, as if they are two different companies.

They are wonderful when they want your money and just absolute crap after they get it. Do not be fooled by the dealer response on these sights saying they want to assist you, they do not.
My brother recently purchased a truck at Car Max. He found issues and they took it back immediately, gave him no trouble about his loaner, and let him choose something else off the lot. I sole my car to them and had a good experience. It is where i will shop in the future. Do yourself a favor and seek your car from another dealership. This one will provide unreliable cars and truly awful service thereafter.

INCOMPETENT SERVICE MGR
This service at folsom hyundai was a joke from the beginning! My car was vandalized towed it to folsom hyundai 7/7/23 and it took over mths to complete because of a poor service mgr who doesn't have his stuff together The day I was called to pick up my car Pedro Edpinoza mgr lost the insurance checks issued by my insurance in July!! And not only that he refused to release my vehicle because of their negligence!! My insurance guaranteed to re issue checks but because the Pedro Espinoza's power trip he refused release of my vehicle What a shame that someone who represents hyundai can do something like that This guy is a disrespectful, disgusting and feels like a man because he's a service mgr what a joke of a human being

Zero Integrity
The used vehicle I purchased had suspension problems with the first 30 days accirding to two different shops. I called and spoke with the sales manager and adked if they could take a look at it. "Unfortunatly.... " They were not willing to look at it or offer any kind of resolution. Bad business ethics

Poor
I never complain about service ANYWHERE even if someone had such a bad day or bad customer that I got the brunt of it....but this time I cannot hold back. Ryleigh H. below may have a point about being discriminated but I am not sure if it really stems down to gender. First, WHY in the world is it the customer responsibility to pay for a deposit on a rental for a WARRANTY issue that KEEPS HAPPENING?? I have had my engine replaced twice - all pistons have been changed and I have been waiting for a transmission for over a month (mind you I had to wait a month for my appointment to even turn my car in). All this from my 2016 Sonata. I have has issues with it since I bought it and when going to Roseville Hyundai for ALL my other warranty issues I never am asked to pay a deposit on any rental they provide. But now since taking it to Folsom Lake Hyundai because Roseville was under construction it has been a nightmare. My account has been accessed without my authority a couple times now BUT THEY SAY IT'S MY RESPONISIBILITY to fight the bank when they keep charging ("holding funds"). Per Pedro the service manager, "It's going to keep happening, you have to call the bank and dispute it" WHHHATTTT????? No reassurance that he would even try to find out why it happens, "Well ma'am, that's the way it works" Horrible - nasty way to let a customer know their money does not mean anything. "Holds" affect people Pedro - it IS A BIG DEAL - you would not like anyone messing with your money when you have to pay bills!!! I am literally disgusted on how Pedro handled this - I know I was irate and lost my cool but a manager should not be nonchalant and arrogant, "I am trying to help" was not good enough when you are accusing the customer of not understanding the policy before even hearing them out. You drew your own conclusion before the conversation started. Good job Elena for ALWAYS WORKING HARD. Pedro should go to a seminar on being a better manager.

the sign is made I will picket FOLSOM LAKE HYUNDAI for all three days of this three day holiday.

It took a year to get my car fixed, They left it in the sun and weather which was not good for the upholstery, paint, tires etc. When I did get it back the wrong battery was in it, an old one not the new one I had just purchased. when I called to get service for a new battery they did not call me back.
THESE MONEY GRUBBERS DO NOT CARE.

FOLSOM LAKE HYUNDAI IS an AWFUL DEALERSHIP.
