Drove our car and got us 2 speeding tickets!
My husband and I have used this shop a few times on our cars and they are pretty dependable, though they are a bit pricey. We will no longer be using their services though because the last time they serviced one of our cars, they got us two speeding tickets on the 210 street camera ($80). We were trying to figure out how we got two tickets within 10 min of each other and why we were on the road when we both were working that day and quickly realized that we were not in possession of the car when the camera captured the car speeding. It was in the shop and we have the receipt to show when we picked it up and paid for the repairs. We called and left a message with the shop and no response. I'd rather do business with people who take better care of other people's property.

Car inspection 3013
Fort Washington auto and repair shop provided me outstanding service on April 29, 2021. I did not have an appointment for an inspection, but Robert took my phone number and name and stated he will call if anything he can be a little. By the time I got home I received a call for a 10 o’clock appointment, which was completed a little after 11 AM. Robert was very helpful and provided Outstanding Customer service.
Thank you Robert and I look forward to having my Vehicle serviced at Fort Washington auto and tire for all car repairs and service.
I was very satisfied with the repairs on my first vehicle, good turn around time. On my second vehicle it took a lot longer than I anticipated. Ft Washington auto has been very accommodating attempting to fix my vehicle I do appreciate that effort. It seemed to be more of a challenge, in all fairness I new the second vehicle needed quite a bit of work, nonetheless they are auto mechanics and as customers we don't like call backs for some of the same repair complaints. I'm hopeful things will work out with the latest repeat repairs.
It was a busy day for cars getting inspected or repaired and the lot was pretty full, however, Fort Washington Auto & Tire cranked things out quickly. I went for a scheduled Maryland State Inspection. I received a confirmation call that morning — a positive sign — and although my car failed inspection (it’s a 20 year old classic), it was because of the same issues my independent mechanic had diagnosed prior to me bringing the car to FW A&T. They are honest and down-to-earth people and I would happily recommend a friend or neighbor to use their services. Glad to know small businesses like this still exist.
They’re okay for the price. They fixed my car for the most part. I failed my inspection and they fixed everything at a decent price. My only cons are that the communication is off. I’d only get car updates if I called on the date that my car was supposed to be available (it it was never available on that date). Also, my check engine light wasn’t on when I dropped it off, but when I got it back it was on. When I mentioned it, they turned the light off manually and it came right back on within 2 days. However, I’m nit sure I want to take it back for fear of something else happening. The in person customer service is great and the prices are fair.
I called the day of and was able to drop off my car for a MD safety inspection. As promised, they called me when the car was ready. Very fun and professional staff.
I get excellent service every time I bring my car to Fort Washington Auto & Tires. I Get good customer services they have some excellent mechanics that know their job and know what they are doing.
