If I could rate this zero stars i would ... Had this shop recommend to me through insurance because they had the lowest labor rates... that makes sense now. I brought in my vehicle to have the engine replaced. They got the used engine installed , gave the vehicle back to us. Upon getting home the vehicle was acting up. We called the shop and were going to get it back to them. We were not able to get it there right away, but then the vehicle completely stopped working. So we called them again, they were unable to provide us a tow, so the vehicle did not get to them right away. We had the vehicle for a bit. Upon it getting back to them, they looked at the car and started to say it was all these different things, but then landed on the ECU not working. They said we had installed aftermarket parts(which it has a short ram intake on it that was there before hand, we just added a new filter upon getting the car back after engine was replaced. They tried to keep saying that we had the car and had messed with it before hand. But i knew we didnt and i Didnt believe them. Long story short , after many disagreements i got my vehicle towed out and brought to a repituable Volkswagon dealership. Upon their inspection they found the motor mounts to be missing ! that they were never installed after the engine was done. Causing server damage to the car The engine had damaged the subframe, and the cat converter ! They r deeming the car TOTALTED! They said we could have died driving the vehicle. This company tried to blame this on an aftermarket intake, instead of thier own MISTAKES!! This company continues to lie, and will absolutely mess your car up and then say its all on you ! They tried to force me to sign a paper saying I messed with the car , and would not let me take my vehicle until i did. This company is so shady, and so bad. PLS DONT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! ZERO STARS

A shop you dont want working on your car…

Great service and reasonable prices
Eric is terrific. Everyone in his garage is friendly and honest and they know how to fix cars;" the old fashioned way." I have ben having all my cars repaired at hill 'n dale and have been very pleased with the service and honesty of the employees. Many times I have stopped there without an appointment and Eric always takes care of me and makes an appointment within 24-48 hours. The prices are reasonable and unlike Firestone or Goodyear, I never return back with for same problem.

excellent service nd reasonable prices
This is a family owned business and they know how to fix cars. They don't need to put a car on a computer to know what needs to be repaired. Once the problem is resolved, you never have to return the car because it was not repaired correctly. I have been a customer for more than 10 years and my entire family also goes there for car repairs. They are honest and prices are more than reasonable. I used to go to Firestone only because they were open on Sunday and it was convenient to my work schedule. I was never pleased with the service as I had to return my car at least a second time to have the repair done right. I nor my family will never go any place else for car repairs.

Hill "N Dale is a great family owned business. I have never experienced such great service anywhere else that I've had my car serviced. They are friendly, experienced, detailed and fair in their prices. They do an excellent job!!!

The most honest and decent place in an industry of less-than... Eric is always willing to help, no matter how busy. My family will never go elsewhere as long as he’s open/operating!
