I thought buying a bulky item like a diving board from amazon was a great idea due to the shipping. However the board arrived past the original delivery date (missing Labor Day weekend which we specifically bought it for) and it was damaged. The company then accused me of lying about the damage.
I sent pictures as soon as it was installed and the issue discovered. Was told they had to investigate. A week later was told sorry nothing we can do. You can return this enormous heavy awkward board at your cost. Hurricane Helene hits our house and we have to leave due to no water or power. When I get back to them the answer is now sorry- now its past the return date. Zero compassion for that but fine.
Ok, now I have a board I spent over 1K on that is a potential liability. I ask for a partial refund to cover the cost of hiring someone to come out and fix the issue (which may not even be fixable). I was offered FIVE PERCENT OFF. When I replied this is not enough I was then offered ten percent. Which won't even cover the materials to fix it let alone hiring someone to do it. The best part was then I was accused of LYING about the damage- because this process has been so fun already.
Shout out to Ashley from this company who insultingly says "how do we know you didn't damage it?". I was appalled. I responded- how do I know you didn't send me an already damaged board knowing that returning this thing is a huge pain and people most likely won't do it?
This company does not stand by their product or shipping- and they are wildly unprofessional and insulting. Thank you for taking my money and insulting me - this is a huge scam. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
