Check engine light.
My check engine light is on. Has been for several weeks. Not able to get an appointment until June. I'm not sure you are suppose to ignore a check engine light for that long of a period. I'm not happy that I'm unable to get an appointment to check something out that could be serious. On the brighter side! My oil changes and tire rotation services are extremely easy. The personnel are great to work with!!!

Warranty work fail
We have taken our Sonata to Kerry several times for the same electrical issue that caused it to not start. It only occurs when the weather is cold for some reason. The car only has 20k miles on it. We had it towed 3 times last winter to a Kerry for service as it is under warranty. Each time they held our car for weeks at a time and we were told they can’t get to it because too many people called off, or they can’t get it to reproduce the problem give a code so they can’t work on it. Well this weekend the car went into “limp mode” (who knew that is a thing?) when our daughter was driving back from Cleveland. It wouldn’t go over 40 mph on the highway so she had to stop 3 times. She got a code from two different Firestone shops she stopped at on the way home. We took it back to Kerry yet again, and are told it will be 5 weeks before they can even look at it. We have the code! There is no excuse for that kind of delay. They just try to put off the warranty work in hopes that you’ll just go get it fixed somewhere else. They get paid by the manufacturer for that work and it’s part of their responsibility as a dealer. Don’t buy a Hyundai there because the manufacturer’s warranty is basically useless.

Terrible experience
I bought my car from Kerry Hyundai in 2020 and purchased the very expensive warranty that goes with a verified used car. My car broke down two weeks ago and was finally looked at this week. I Called the warranty service center before taking it to the dealership and they advised that the dealership would need to start a claim for anything to be covered and to get reimbursed for a rental car. They had no loaner cars so I had to pay for the rental car out-of-pocket . Upon getting my car looked at the sales rep advised that they would not do a claim that it would not be covered. He also advised that part of the issue was from Me not changing the spark plugs at 60,000 mile which was required maintenance. I informed him that I bought the car at 66,000 miles from their dealership and that all maintenance was supposed to be up-to-date at the time. He told me I needed to take that up with the sales department. He also advised me that an oil change was recommended on top of everything else. I told him that my car was not due for an oil change and he agreed and took it off. When I pick the car up he informed me that the reason they requested the oil change is because there was gas leakage in my oil tank. He did not advise me of that on the phone and I had already declined the oil change thinking it was just a routine maintenance. I called the Warranty Center after that and they stated that the dealership should’ve made a claim no matter what. So I am out the money for the rental car as well as The $1200 I had to pay to get my car fixed. I felt like someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars that I was extremely taken advantage of from the fact that they sold me a warranty that doesn’t seem to cover anything to the fact that the issue stemmed from routine maintenance that should’ve been done on the car when I got it.

Problems in Service
There are issues with this service department. They don't follow stated terms on Hyundai 3 year free maintenance program with new car purchase - public domain document terms state +/- 1000 miles from service interval and the dealer claims +/- 500 .

You buy a new car from them and bring it in with any concern over mechanical issues and they try to charge you $120 diagnostic fee. I bought an almost $30K car from them less than year ago brand new that is under warranty - I have never dealt with this at any other dealer with a new car under warranty for a concern to be evaluated.

Finally, in agreement with various other reviews you can not get ahold of service department when calling in almost every attempt - they do not pick up the phone. Also if you have a service concern outside of a quick lube service they are almost 3-4 weeks out when attempting to schedule service online. This is horrid for customers with major mechanical issues to get a car serviced with over a month out of service potentially when adding in scheduling issues with actual repair time depending on parts.

Dont be an intelligent woman.
I dropped my car off for a recall, an oil change, and to have my brake light connection looked at. I got talked down to basically and cut off and "corrected". I know how to do maintenance on cars as my dad was a mechanic for over 30 years. They took over 24 hours to do an oil change. I got charged a fee because i wasnt getting my subharness fixed that day, but they didnt even have the part for it and had to order it. Wasnt offered a loaner. Got a call the part is in and to make an appointment and now i have to wait 2-3 weeks. Will never return for anything but an oil change for the warranty.
