My truck blew a front transmission seal near Victoria on a Sunday while on my way home to Austin. I had it towed to the Ford dealership because I'm not from Victoria and didn't know any other repair facilities in Victoria. I assumed a Ford dealership might be a bit more expensive per hour than an independent shop but at least would be fair and ethical. Nothing could be further from the truth. They started by trying to convince me to replace the entire transmission and when that didn't work to replace the front pump and converter. When we finally agreed that just replacing the front seal was the right course of action I was charged for work that wasn't done (a transmission flush that was never done) and a labor rate that was higher than quoted. I had not other options but I hope you do - don't use Mac Haik service!
