As you may recall, when your vehicle was brought in, the check engine light was on, and it showed over 32 diagnostic trouble codes along with multiple failures. Upon inspection, we found that the alternator was overcharging, the battery had dead cells, and was causing several voltage and communication issues. Additionally, your radiator and turbocharger were leaking, the drive belt was cracked and beginning to tear, and the drive belt tensioner was loose.
We provided you with a detailed digital vehicle inspection report, including photos, and explained all the necessary repairs. You authorized repairs for the battery, alternator, and radiator but declined the additional recommended repairs. We also discussed that the check engine light might return, as the remaining issues could still impact sensor communication due to ongoing voltage inconsistencies.
After completing the authorized repairs, we informed you of the remaining issues and provided an estimate, but you declined further work, stating that additional costs were not justifiable for this vehicle. We understand that maintaining a high-end German vehicle can involve higher costs due to the complex and sensitive components.
