I recently purchased a 2022 F-150 from Phil Long Ford (Denver). It was not a good experience. One problem was that the sales person I was dealing with, Ed Lussier, tried to mislead me concerning a $300 price reduction from Ford (due to a change in the seats that were placed in the truck) and pocket that $300 for himself. Fortunately, I noticed what Mr. Lussier was trying to do and call him out on it. This kind of behavior is "old school" car sales BS and is really disappointing. I just expect more honesty and integrity in business dealings - even in the auto business.
Another issue concerned a $500 incentive available to First Responders. Despite being a First Responder, Phil Long Ford declined to honor the incentive, saying that it was not available to me. I contacted Ford's Customer Service about this and learned that the First Responder incentive is provided at the discretion of the dealership and is not a Ford incentive, per se. When I discussed this later with Robert McMann, General Manager of Phil Long Ford, he argued that I had received all the applicable incentives that were available at the time that I ordered the truck. It was never adequately explained why the First Responder incentive was not also applicable since I was a First Responder at the time that I ordered the vehicle. If you are a First Responder, this is something to look out for dealing with Phil Long Ford. Mr. McMann had no comment on Mr. Lussier's attempt to collect the $300 for himself due to the change in seats put into the truck.
Overall, I found this experience very unsatisfactory, hence the one star rating. It was considerably poorer and less straightforward than other vehicle purchases I have made

A disappointing experience
brought my 14’ Explorer in for a bad water pump and engine problems. It had a warranty on the engine that I purchased from them. They told me that I need to replace the engine and that they were 99% sure the insurance would cover it. A month later I find out they are not covering the engine. Now I can’t get anyone to take my phone call to resolve this. I’m walking over an hour one way to work. Not a great way to do business.

Phil Long Ford Denver - HORRIBLE HORRIBLE dealership
The absolute worst car buying experience ever. The people that work at this dealership at manipulative, don't care about the buyers, and liars. From the first call, to walking out of the dealership, the whole experience was horrible. We wasted our time driving from Colorado Springs to Denver to look at a car because the sales people/manager couldn't be honest about a vehicle we wanted to look at. Some of the worst things that happened were that once we got to look at the vehicle, it was a total mess. It looked like nothing had been inspected on the car except a little Armor All on the tires. The coolant level in the car was even below the low mark on the container. They gave us a sheet a paper to show what had been done on the car to inspect it, the sheet said 11 hrs of work was done to inspect the car, costing over $1000. It looked like 30 mins was spent on the car....they couldn't even as much as take off all of the corrosion on the terminals to the battery. Prior to seeing the car, we asked if there was any damage done to the car before going to see it, they couldn't even tell us there were huge burn spots on the driver side.
Horrible, horrible dealership, sales people and the sales manager!!!!
Do not get a vehicle from this dealer or you will suffer the consequences!!!!

Phi long Ford of Denver Colorado
Phi long Ford of Denver customer service has declined severely
We purchased an F350 in 2016 customer service in 2016 was excellent the salesman was very helpful and professional
We ordered an F250 in to our specks the price was reasonable
When we went to pick it up salesman called said he had a family emergency he would b there that’s understandable
The customer service we received was completely unsatisfactory basically singe the paperwork here’s your keys there’s the door
No one went over the truck with about anything the technology in the truck nothing
I would not recommend this dealer if your wanting any customer service at all
Thank you for your time
