Don't go here, they gouge you.
Owner super overcharges for everything. He kept telling me he was putting in a great battery, etc. Cost almost $400, lasts only 18 months. Charged $173 for 20 minutes of labor - @ $145 an hour for labor. Charge to change an air filter - $80. If you want to be gouged, charged unfairly - this is the place. My advice, go anywhere else.

Poor customer service- owner
The owner told me it was $145 hour to removed bus seats from my short bus. The mechanic Jose was very nice and takes pride in helping the customer. The owner is a jerk and greedy for money and was rushing Jose he was not able to take 2 of the paddle seats out. The owner tried to charge me another $145 - never go here it’s horrible service from the owner

I brought my car in for an inspection and with this inspection I needed a quote for all repairs needed. My car was recently purchased from a shady car sales man and the inspection was needed for my court dispute against the dealership. All my prestige auto repair interactions and agreement to the service needed were with “pat”. The car spent one day at the shop I received a list of all needed repairs but no estimate/quote was given with it. I explained to “pat” that the list was no good to me without numbers. I need a breakdown to provide as evidence for my shady sale dispute/litigation. He explained that he has a copy of the list and will “get to it” and asked that I contact him for status updates. This was on June 7,2019. I called on a weekly basis from June-Aug only to hear excuses over and over again. I called daily the month of August to hear more excuses and I guess he was soo tired of my calls that instead of providing me with what agreed on (&what I paid for) he informed me that he actually competed the document but the janitor miss placed it...Pure lie. Mind you, I am still expected to provide this document in ?COURT?. Just my luck. A shady dealership and a shady mechanic. If you read this review and still choose to pay for their services, or lack there of, DO NOT PAY UPFRONT. Make sure you receive every drip drop of what ever service you required before making a payment.

Good service.
We’ve always brought our car here for the past number of many years. We miss Avi. But, the place is still great. And the quality of work seems to be excellent. However, I’m finding that sometimes on the phone some woman there is more abrupt than needs to be.

Perfect reliable place for repairs and inspections!
Went in for an inspection and they finished it quickly and efficiently as always! No appointment and no wait! This place is amazing for service, maintenance, repairs, and batteries. They even doing towing! This place does above dealership quality honest work and specializes in all types of cars including luxury brands.

Honest Service
I've been here a few times and am always pleased by the courteous service, return calls and knowledgeable mechanics--Manny in service is great! Prestige is my go to place for routine maintenance on my 2007 Volvo XC90 They will refer me to Volvo dealership if there is a specific computerized something or other that only Volvo has access to. Also, I think their pricing is fair

Knowledgable and Efficient
I went there because my car would not start periodically and I went Autozone to test the battery and alternator and everything seemed fine. I had an oil change at Honda several months ago and they checked the battery and they said it was fine. I spent ten minutes at Prestige and they concluded that the battery was at fault. I purchased a battery from them and was in and out within an hour. It has been a month and a half since I bought the battery and no incidents occurred.

Fast and courteous
I needed to get a New York vehicle safety inspection done as I was 3 day from expiration. I will save my rant about how stupid this is for anther time. I called up Prestige Auto at 11:15 AM and by 1:15 I was good to go. Nice people and nice place. Plenty of seats in the waiting room (even though the wait was minimal). This has to be the best place in Manhattan for the inspection service. I will be back next year!
