Be VERY leery in any financial dealings with this dealership.
We did due diligence in selecting the car that we bought from the dealership at San Leandro Hyundai. The car we purchased had great ratings.
Where we did not look was at the deal-ship rating: D+. We would have been more careful and not brought any cash to pay off the car. Do everything by check. If anyone gets up to leave the room with your cash, be sure to get a receipt for it before it goes out the door. Now we are stuck with a big car loan and no one at the dealership is interested in our plight.

Buying first Car experience
After reading the reviews l decided to visit the dealership and prayed to meet with Nimez M. Ann indeed l did meet with him ,l told him l wanted to look at the cars and asked if he can help me choose one that would meet my needs, law and behold that's what happened and not only did he choose but also made me leave with the car which he heard earlier mentioned that l will. And Michael in finance made me a great deal, thank you so much and the rest of the team was really fantastic working with me and making a smooth experience, giving a 10/10 best car dealership so far.

Im always thankful to this Hyundai San Leandro service branch in 2085 Wayne Ave 94577. Im about 10-mi away but I come here always. Today is 7/14, I came this morning as my appointment time for oil change & tire rotation. Most of the Hyundai car owners come here. Hyundai staffs serve fast, are reliable, greet with smiles, have friendly approach, give advices, have a clean & quiet waiting lobby etc. My advisor is Sara Jane De Guzman. A new very young, kind hearted and cute lady, very busy to-&-fro helping the needs of her customers. She helped me a lot with her team. She deserves to be promoted with wage increased. She’s 5 star. It also reflects how her supervisor / manager trains her. All work service guys are great too and fast. I wander why some people give this branch negative feedback. Let’s all “be patient” if we stay longer or unsatisfied or if they find something to replace or repair. Car has limitations too and is getting older and weaker that needs regular maintenance. Everyone here is superb. All the highly trained repair guys can’t finish to manage 20 cars in 1 hour. They are humans and not super heroes but they do an excellent job and you won’t regret it.

THEY ARE LIARS. TOTALLY OPERATE WITH EXTREME DECEIT. MY CAR BROUGHT TO THEM WITH MINOR REPAIRS. THEY NEGLECTED TO SECUMY CAR UNDER PROPER CONDITIONS, CONSIDERING. CAR STOLEN FROM THEIR LOT. FOUND BY OPD AND STORED. THEY TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY THE $425 AFTER PROMISING TO GIVE ME A RENTAL ONCE CAR WAS BACK IN "THEIR POSESSION." THEY THOUGHT I WOULD BE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO DRIVE MY CAR BACK TO THE SHOP SO CAN CAN REFUSE TO TAKE MY CAR BACK FOR REPAIRS BUT BECAUSE IT WAS NOT DRIVABLE, THEY HAD TO TOW IT THEMSELVES RESULTING IN THEM HAVING TOTAL POSESSION AND RESPONSIBILITY STILL! THEN THEY LIED ABOUT HAVING A RENTAL BUT MYSTERIOUSLY FOUND A RENTAL AFTER CAUSING ME TO GET SICK WITH HEADACHE, UPSET STOMACH DUE TO NOT EATING DEALING WITH THEIR SHENANIGANS. I WAS UNDRER EXTREME EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. I LOST WAGES NOT BEING ABLE TO WORK. THEY CALL THEMSELVES REPAIRING MY CAR WITH A SPAIR TIRE UNSAFE TO DRIVE MORE DAMAGES AND WANTED ME TO PICK UP MY CAR BACAUSE, THEY SAY IT IS DRIVABLE. THEY ALSO WANTED ME TO BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM OR BUY MY CAR BACK IF I WERE PLANNING TO TRADED IT IN FOR ANOTHER CARE ELSEWHERE I WOULD NOT SELL THEM A THING. I WOULD GIVE THE CAR AWAY BEFORE I SELL IT TO THEM WHAT I THOUGHT WAS CONVENIENT TO TAKE IT TO THEM TURNED OUT TO BE A TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I WENT AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGENT. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN GOOD SERVICE DEALING WITH THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS OR THEIR EMPLOYEES. THIS IS WHY I WENT TO CONCORD WHERE I AM ALWAYS TREATED WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY, I DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS ANTEBELLUM BEHAVIOR I GET FROM SAN LEANDRO HYUNDAI. THE ABSOLUTE WORSE PEOPLE OUGHT TO BOYCOTT THIS BUSNESS!!!!!! NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS KIND OF TREATMENT I DO NOT CARE WHO THEY ARE, BLACK, WHITE, ASIAN ETC....

Satisfying Experience!
I took my 2017 Hyundai Sonata in for repairs after receiving a few recall notices. I was concerned about whether they were still covered because I waited a few months before bringing the car in for repairs. Nevertheless, 3 of the repairs were taken care of smoothly and professionally within a 2 hour period! I only have one other item that needs to be done (a paint job) and I trust that will be taken care with the same dedication and care as the other services.

I would like also like to say a HUGE thank you to "Denny Gu" who processed everything expeditiously, and with excellent customer service skills. Denny immediately put me at ease about all my concerns and everything looks and works great! I am a very satisfied customer!

Service Appt
Despite having an appointment booked one month in advance, all parts were not available forcing me to book another appointment.

They also did not provide accurate updates with the status of my vehicle. I would have left it overnight if needed, but was told several times that it was “almost ready” or would be “ready in 30 minutes.” It took total of 11 hours to complete the services they had the parts to complete with 2.5 of those hours spent waiting onsite.

Friendly staff
I found that the service technicians were very friendly and helpful for the time I spent at the dealership. They were even very helpful with the bill and worked with me on the service. The only complaint that I would have is on a company level and has nothing to do with the staff. The issue with my car was something I could only get fixed through the dealership and unfortunately had to travel about 40 minutes to get there as there is a lack of dealerships in the Bay Area. Having to leave my car overnight and needing to commute back to my home was inconvenient for me.

I have been trough downs with Hyuindai. My overall experience with the Hyuindai dealership in Colma CA is still disappointing because when they sold me services like Sealjet and warranties they will NEVER deliver to me because they sold their dealership to TESLA. I usually go to local places in San Francisco to get oil changes, breaks and tires. It got to a point where I was at 48000 miles. There was water leaking in my head light and there was a clicking sound in my air conditioner & I was heart broken. I wrote to Hyundai corporate about what happened and it turns out I could not get a refund me on the Sealjet and they don't know where the people who worked at the Colma Hyuindai Dealership/service center went?..
Get's me upset to write this... anyhow I decided to finally make an appointment with San Leandro Hyundai service center. I was there early and I met Ash explained what I needed and situation. He immediately grabbed the red color code to start working on my car. I got 2 hours of diagnostic time and later I found out that the warranty would cover my head light that water leaks into and it covered the clicking sound. I ended up getting other services to top it off and I also applied for Dignifi to help me pay for my extra services and was approved and almost covered all the cost. I went to pick up my car and it was a joy seeing Ash. I felt his support and care for me and my car. He is helping me have a better experience with Hyundai customer service.

Takes very long time to check-in the car for service
It takes a very long time to check in the car even though you come at the scheduled time. My last several visits took between 20 and 40 min to check in. They used to wash the car upon the return to the owner, but they no longer do it or even ask if you want the vehicle to be washed. If it sits on their open parking lot, you can get a dirtier car than when you brought it in due to close proximity to the main road and freeway.
