I would give them 0 stars if I could. I dropped my car off over night for an inspection in the morning. I woke up to 11 calls and voicemails from a man named chuck who refused to let me speak and seemed to enjoy talking over me. He told me that my car failed inspection and that I needed 4 new tires a new alignment along with new front and back breaks. Which I questioned because I got all new tires and breaks last year previously to my Inspection. I have never put more than 12,000 miles on my car and due to covid I haven’t driven my car much this year either. I explained that I wanted to pick my car up because after reading all the reviews it makes sense that he is taking advantage of the fact that I am a woman. I feel extremely disrespected and will be reporting them to the better business bureau along with the central bucks chamber of commerce in Doylestown. I explained that I would be picking up my car and taking it to another appointment I just made for my state inspection and at 11:15 he told me that he was on lunch break and I can’t pick it up until 1pm earliest. Took it to another place where I normally get my work done and they passed it no problem.

Total Bait & Switch
Total rip off! Beware of their bait & switch low price inspection only to charge you double for work that's "required for inspection" when it's not. Failed our car only to have another shop the same day pass it no problem. Quoted prices that were double the price of even the dealership. Charged us to rotate our tires when in fact they did not, we happen to have pics with our car showing the brake dust on the front before they supposedly rotated them. When I called them on it the manager's reply was "that many cars have more brake dust on the rear tires than the front" sure just show me one on your lot was my reply and he declined. Save yourself the BS and go anywhere, I mean anywhere else. Beware!
Very convenient appointment for a pa. state Inspection for my Mini Cooper. Done on time and very reasonable. I set another appointment for a pa. inspection and an oil change for my VW Jetta for Oct. 5. I also received a $20 coupon. Thank you very much.
I feel very confident in Smith Auto's recommenations for keeping my car in good running condition. The staff is friendly, and answer all questions in a way that makes me feel valued as a customer.
My car had been leased and I was used to taking it to the dealer, so I was nervous about finding a good, local shop. I was relieved to find Smith's. They were extremely friendly and efficient, and I really like their system of sharing diagnostic information. I will continue to take my car there.
