Did not advise me the car had been in an accident until I was signing the contract
Bought my 2021 Hyundai here. Did not find out that the car had been involved in an accident until the time of closing. MY BAD for not asking upfront, but also did not get any kind of discount on the car under these circumstances. I had fallen in love with the car so I bought it anyway. My issue is that a reputable car dealership would have supplied that information UP FRONT.
Another issue - not specific to this particular dealership - was that I am now trying to get another insurance company for a lower my premium, only to find out that most insurance companies in NY WILL NOT insure a Hyundai or Kia (2011 through 2022) because they are very easy to steal - you can YouTube it.
DO YOU DUE DILIGENCE. DON'T RELY ON THIS OR ANY DEALERSHIP. I was very disappointed in South Shore Hyundai as they came recommended by my neighbor

Worst Service even for vehicles under warranty
My car shut down on my while driving and the engine light came one. It has 17k miles and under warranty. The service department said they can’t get my car in until Jan. So I’m supposed to be carless for over a month during the holidays. The are so over booked that you can get your car looked at when it breakdown for no apparent reason under warranty. Their service is so bad that I have been waiting 2 and a half hours for the service manager Monique to call me back. They didn’t even mention a loaner as an option. The absolute worst service.

Under warranty means waiting 45 days to bring your car in
There service is the worst. My car is under warranty with 17k miles and they are telling me to wait 45 days to bring in the car that literally shut down on my wile driving. The service manager does not care to return a call and they leave no wiggle room for in warranty urgent repairs. Their solution is to call other dealers to fix your car even though the car was bought there.

Awful!
If I could give it zero stars I would. My mother's navigation system stopped working. It took her three weeks to get an appointment. Then the kept the car for four days, just to tell her they needed to install a new SD card. Two weeks later she went back for the card and they told her it did not work, and she needs a whole new radio system. Three weeks later, they cancelled her new appointment and told her to come back in September. This place is the worst! Never buy a Hyundai!!!

Damaged seat and got the runaround
I brought my car in for warranty service and in doing do they must have placed heavy placed heavy machinery on my seat. In doing so the leather was crushed and there was a hole in my seat. When they brought it around I knew right away something was wrong as I baby my car. I brought it right to their attention. They initially said i was lying. I pushed it and they said someone would call me. They never did. I actually stopped by the dealership and saw the service manager and I was told again I would be called. I never was. I was being blown off obviously. I gave them all the chances I could and left a bad review online. I was contacted by someone and talked to them on the phone about my review. They said they would take care of the issue. I was never called back yet again. I contacted this other rep and could not get them on the phone. This was of course after I changed my review to a positive one. If you have to go here don't. If you must go here please document the condition of your car inside and out while you are at the dealership and hope they don't destroy your car. If they do I am sure they won't take care of you either way.

Damaged My Car And Got The Runaround
Brought in my car for some warranty service and when I got the car back the leather seat was ripped. I brought this directly to their attention and they initially denied it. It was obvious they place heavy machinery on my seats as the leather was crushed and was the first thing I noticed when I opened the door. I have vey low miles and take immaculate care of my car so I knew right away. I was told they would contact me but never did. I even stopped by the dealership again a few weeks later to see what the status was and I was again told I would be called and of course I never was. I left a negative review on another website and I was contact by a customer rep who promised to resolve the issue if I changed my review, Once I changed my review to a positive one I never heard back from them again after contacting that rep. with no response. I have had good experiences with this dealership in the past so it is disappointing they purposely avoided repairing the damage they caused. I would suggest if you do go here please document the exterior and interior of your vehicle before dropping it off and hope they don't damaged your vehicle as I am not sure they will take care of you.

Inspection and recall
On Thursday, July 21st, I had a 10:00 AM appointment for a car inspection. I was told at that time my car had a recall and would I like that taken care of that day, so I agreed to have both done that day.

At 1:00 PM I was told that the person who worked on my car did the recall first and he wasn’t able to do the inspection because it wouldn’t pass. I was told I had to put mileage on my car in order to pass inspection and that I should come back on Friday, July 29th and it would pass inspection.

Before I brought my car back on that day I wanted to know how long I would have to wait before my car was inspected. I didn’t want to wait another 3 hours for the inspection since it should have been done on the 21st. I wanted also to know if I could get the car inspected at a local garage. I called customer service and was told the manager was on another call and I explained why I was calling. I was told that I would get a call back. I never received a call.

My complaint is I got to Hyundai at 10:30 AM on the 29th and I explained why I was there. I asked if it would take long for the inspection since it should have been done last Thursday. At 2:00 PM I went upstairs to find out what was taking so long and was told my car is just about ready after waiting for 3 1/2 hours. I have no complaints about the people who I dealt with. Everyone was very pleasant, but it is totally unacceptable that I had to wait 3 1/2 hours for an inspection that should have been done the week before. Needless to say I was not very happy when I left Hyundai.

My worst experience in hyundai service.
My worst experience on Hyundai service on Valley stream. I came by appointment on time, just for the oil change. It took the 4 hours, 4 hours i was waiting for them to be done with oil change. Very unprofessional stuff. Never will recommend to anyone.

Excellent Customer Service
My experience with South Shore has always been pleasant. The customer service is excellent. I make my service appointment and they are on time. I advise why I have come in, they investigate the issue and advise if other service is needed. I wait for my car, and the waiting area is comfortable. They offer coffee and have vending machines if you'd like a snack. A service associate will come and explain the specifics of the service that has been done on your car. They also text you while your car is being serviced. I'm very pleased with the service done on my car and the customer service at the dealership.
