BUYERS BEWARE OF THE SALES MANGERS
I recently(09/28/2024 @ 9:10am) walked in to purchase and look at a 2024 Elantra n I spoke otp with my sales man David at first when I came in I was met with a different sales man (tj) he was extremely nice, transparent and friendly honestly the nicest salesman I’ve dealt with to date, we went on a test drive and I loved the car so I put a 500$ hold fee so I can secure the car I had to be at work and had to leave, me and my older brother come in the next day with 10k in our pockets ready to purchase said vehicle, when I asked my salesman to see if they could price match a car I seen online it was about (1200$) off I expected some push back and maybe a smaller discount, but what I received was the sales manger (Bobby Schliesser) approaching aggressively Almost shouting at me that we had a deal and “I thought you were a man of your word” so i replied with “ I get that we had a deal and I still want to make one but I found a better price on the same spec car” he proceeded to banter me aggressively, when I tried to reply he just stormed off into his shared office with Mike Schrieber, I followed and asked to get my 500$ back beacuse at that point even if they offered the car for absolutely free I wouldn’t do business with that dealer, Bobby Schliesser processed to be aggressive with 0 de-escalation skills then says “ I don’t have your money I’ll process your return when I want” so I said you’ll be hearing from my lawyer, then Mike Schrieber proceed to start yelling at me mind you I haven’t said a single word to him this entire time he shoved himself into a situation he had nothing to do with and gets aggressive he walked from behind his desk and got physically close to me yelling that’ll he’ll call the cops and threatening to “beat my ass” I simply replied to him with “step outside” he does and gets in my face yelling all kinds of insults now mind you I am a 25 year old man and I showed more professionalism and patience than a 50 something year old man that also happens to be one of the dealerships upper management, it was to the point my salesman was trying to hold him back. This not only cost mr craig Suntrup a customer but also a local business owner that will spread the word.

Tire pressure
I have to commend Acacia for helping me today. Had scheduled an appointment for what we thought was a malfunctioning tire pressure monitoring device. She came out and found I was putting the incorrect pressure. Acacia reset all four tires, showed were the pressure is listed for future reference. Very patient and displayed professional customer service.

Brought my 2019 Elantra in for recall and oil change
Made and kept 9am appointment for recall on my 2019 Elantra. Had my car there by 8:45 am, After
Asking if car would be ready by 5:30 telling them I would need a cab ride to pick it up. Tried several times to phone the service department only to be forced to use email could not get the answer I needed on time. Because of this behavior I will be trying. Tried several times to get a human to speak with me to try and pay by credit card and having my.vehicle locked and ready for pick up. Again one giant disappointment. No one seemed to want to be speak to me. VERY DISAPPOINTING FROM A DEALERSHIP BRAGGING ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Santa Fe burning 8/10's quart of oil so far every 1000 miles
I am having oil issues with my 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe which I purchased new at Suntrup. My car is burning through oil. Hyundai is replacing engines on cars like mine because of this problem. Prior to making a decision on replacing the engine, Hyundai requires to have the oil checked every 1,000 miles for three visits. This will determine whether or not my oil consumption warrants a new engine. At the first 1,000 miles I was told I was probably going to get a new engine. This second 1,000 mile visit last night, I was told by Tim M that it is only burning 8/10 of a quart every 1,000 miles so it probably will not be enough for a new engine. Knowing my synthetic oil changes are every 5,000 miles, do you think I should be upset and worried? I am. I can't see the oil burning getting better, only worse. I'm nearing 100,000 miles. Looking for others who had the same issue so I have the support information necessary in case Suntrup refuses to replace the engine.

Would give negative stars if I could
I would give negative stars if I could. There service department is a joke. The most unprofessional, useless, lazy, rude, with absolute no customer service. Especially there service manager Billy G. I will not give his last name but he is by far the worst person I have every delt with. He feels the need to lie and make excuses for not performing service. Then he continued to then show aggressive behavior by smaking a desk and throwing his hands up like a child. This is where I got mad and he continued to ask for his name and walked away from me throwing his hands up then turns around to tell me to get out. I'm assuming because he felt the need to show some more aggression. I hope this goes viral and they make some serious changes to their personnel. I'm absolutely taken back by the treatment I received. I will give credit if you have read this long to their sales team. They were more helpful and polite and knew how to treat a customer. Their sales director took care of our situation to the best of his ability and the sales team was nothing but apologetic. Sales team A+, service department terrible.

Hyundai service dept. can't accurately inspect Hyundai vehicles
On 8/5/2022, I had a complete vehicle inspection performed on a used 2010 Hyundai Elantra I was considering purchasing from another dealership nearby. I was told by the Suntrup Hyundai service advisor that the only concerns with the vehicle were that it needed an air filter and had about 50% brake life left. The day after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that it made a high pitched squeal when first driven after it sat overnight. I called and left a message about this, but I did not receive a call back.

I took the car to my local Firestone on 8/17/2022 to look into the noise, and it needed two new belts (AC and alternator) and the battery failed inspection and needed replaced (and was apparently the wrong size). These are expensive repairs that would have made me reconsider purchasing this vehicle. I emailed the Hyundai dealership about this via their website on 8/17/2022, but got no response. I reported this to the BBB, and Suntrup refused to accept any responsibility. I have since reported this to the MO Attorney General's office and Hyundai Corporate. I am exceptionally disappointed that a Hyundai dealer did not properly inspect and diagnose issues with a Hyundai vehicle.

Caleb the sales guy great Bob is aweful
I want to start off by saying salesman CALEB STURGEON is 5 star employee. But that is where the awesomeness stops and hiccups start. We were transferred to Bob who is finance manager (?) To do paperwork. We were assured that this dealership was a pnc certified dealer and would totally be able to handle the PNC blank check car loan we came in already approved with. Bob didn't even know what to do with our paperwork even though I explained that there was a page of instructions specifically for him on how to fill out the check and go about the loan. He instead tried to give it back to us saying he didn't need it and I stead submitted it the "traditional" loan way. I insisted that it had to be done the PNC wanted it done cause that is how our loan was written. He then tried to persuade us to using his guys cause they could get us a slightly lower interest rate but it was readily apparent to my husband and I he didn't want the headache of reading the instructions on our loan and wanted to go home since it was close to closing. We signed what we needed to and he said he would finish submitting in the morning. About a week later I called PNC with a first payment question on the loan and they said they have no record of paperwork being submitted, I even called their processing loan office to check and nada. Called the dealership and Bob assured me he submitted it correctly and according to the instructions. Then today almost 2 weeks later my husband and I get rejection letters from Bank of Erica saying they are rejecting our finance request through SunTrust Hyundai?! And now we have unneeded hits on our credit for no reason because the finance manager can't tell his a** from his head.

Top Notch Service!!!
I was in for my routine maintenance & 2 campaigns for my 2022 Palisade and my service advisor Clay Mayberry was amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions & concerns were taken care of! My technician Adnan Ugarak did a great job and love the how they send an inspection video.

The dealership does have construction going on at the moment but if you couldn't see it happening you would never know! Keep up the good work guys.
