Tim will charge for shoddy work and when you attempt to bring the car back a short time later, he will just say something different is wrong and charges you again and the cycle begins again.

Do not take your car here
Do not take your car to this place. My niece took her car there 3 weeks ago and it's still there. They told her first that the car needed a power fuse and than they said the car needed a control monitoring panel and he had to order the part which was Oct 10th. She, my husband and myself called several times to find out what's going on with the car and was told they were working on it (10/22/24 and would call but no one has called yet. We called today 10/24/24 and the receptionist lied and said the mechanic was out to lunch and to call back at 5 knowing that they close at 5. We will be reporting them to the better business bureau

Wouldn't go anywhere else
We Trust Mr. Tim and his workers with the auto repairs we have needed on our 2014 Nisson Versa and our 2002 Ford ranger XLT. A few weeks ago we needed repairs on the Versa. Tim and his workers were reliable, courteous, efficient, fair with pricing and discussed every aspect of what needed to be done with us before doing the work and we ended up saving money by getting a few things done all at once. You can trust this shop to be reliable. My husband won't go anywhere else. Today we put in his truck and they fixed what was wrong. It is running. We were able to take the Versa down to Virginia and on our way home pick up some mulch in the pickup truck. Nice to have things running smoothly again. Thank you to Tim and his staff from the repair people, to the office workers!!

big help on very short notice
We were stranded on the NJ Turnpike on a Saturday and were referred to Tim's by the tow truck driver. Even though it was close to Tim's closing time, they stayed late to accomodate us and fixed our issue within two hours. We had a dead starter. Tim's was able to locate the correct part from a distributor and promptly installed it. This was in contrast to the local Honda dealer, which said that nobody could even look at the car until the following Tuesday. We were grateful for their professional manner, which allowed us to complete our journey the same day.

Bad business.
2 used engine installs. 10/2020 and 2/2021
1st engine failed, ok, fine. Replaced under warranty.
2nd engine upon pickup smelled due to burning oil. was told it was coolant as if Im an idiot.
speaking of coolant, water pump was replaced on this install and leaked since pickup, Mike said "it'll settle" it never did. It leaked almost empty as it sat dead after the engine died.
Re used valve cover gaskets that didn't fit right at this point causing oil to leak into spark plug wells and burn, besides screw up current for spark.
Found a big mopar bolt under my air intake manifold, why? I have no idea. Never installed padding under intake manifold either.
Also when you put the timing cover on wouldn't you notice a lack of timing chain guide? Somehow bent an exhaust mount or hanger causing vibration.
Finally after all that the engine developed a lower end knock probably due to lack of oiling and terrible spark because they used copper and platinum plugs at the same time. The second install was a joke. It was like a 5 year old playing with legos.
I want a refund on the second install. Your offer of $1000 to do it at your shop with you after $3600 spent was non sense. Get better techs. Stop BSing customers with lines like " it'll settle" no it won't and shouldnt have to on a new water pump. wtf. REFUND THE 2ND INSTALL.
Used engine or not the issues caused were things that an adult technician shouldn't do. You rush, you take too much business and this is why things end up this way. You owe me the money back on this BS 2nd install.

Stay clear: won't stand by their work
Warning: they do not stand behind their work nor will they do right by the customer.
I've been going to this location since the previous owner, Mike ran it. Always found them to be the most honest and reliable mechanics I'd ever encountered and as a result I've sent a ton of business their way. Sadly I can't say this about the new owner, Tim. This guy definitely doesn't stand by his work.
A year ago my car had an engine failure. After discussing with the mechanic we decided to replace the engine. That's when the nightmare started. A year later and after $5000 spent I'm still without the car. The mechanic admits they can't or don't know how to fix it but the owner refuses to give me a refund. I've been beyond patient giving them every opportunity to make good, but Tim can apparently care less about his clients.
Fair warning, they DO NOT Guarantee they're work. If they screw up, you'll be eating the cost and may even be without a vehicle. Not worth the risk. Find another shop. I sadly have to now prepare a filing court one year after I have them my car to fix so I could pass it on to my daughter.
I called up to see if they can help me and they listened to everything I said and knew exactly what I needed I took the car and a few days later and everything was done in a timely matter you can tell their main concern is to take care of the customer
Tim's Auto Care II provides the same high quality service as the original shop. Tim's pricing is great and the staff takes the time to make sure you know exactly what's going on and never offer you a service that you don't need.

Great Job
I got a few estimates and Tim's II was the best price and they changed my fuel filter which was not included in a much higher estimate. I've taken my car to Tim's for the past 10+ years I will take it to no other place but Tim's, II I trust Mike He;s Honest and understands customer service and customer building. People are looking for a shop they can trust to do the work without being taking advantage of. I tell all my family and friends about Tim's II they have 2 Locations but Tim's II is the one for me!!!!!!
