Disappointing - Overcharged & Misleading Pricing
I had high hopes for this mechanic shop after hearing some positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. I called on Tuesday to inquire about getting my son’s Ford Edge battery and terminals replaced. I spoke with Wendy, who was friendly and gave me a quote over the phone. She mentioned that the labor would cost $69 for a simple swap, with a maximum of $180 if any wiring needed to be replaced due to corrosion. Since I had already purchased the battery and terminals, it seemed like a reasonable deal, so I told her I would bring it in the next day.

I dropped the car off on Wednesday morning at 9 AM. Wendy wasn’t there, but the man at the counter took my information and assured me that everything was understood. I reminded him of the $69 quote that Wendy gave me over the phone and that we had our own battery & terminals. He didn’t provide any new information or confirm the quote, but I left the car and expected things to go smoothly.

Around noon, I received a call from Wendy saying the car was ready, but the bill was around $215. I was taken aback, especially since Wendy had previously quoted a maximum of $180. When I questioned the significant difference, she explained that wiring had to be replaced. My husband and I went to pick up the car, but again, Wendy wasn’t there—just the same man from earlier. He offered to show us the work, which I appreciated, and indeed, the battery and terminals we brought had been installed properly. However, when I asked about the wiring, he admitted that no wiring had been replaced, and the cost was just for swapping the old battery and terminals with the new ones.

It turned out that they had charged me for just two hours of labor, which at $100+ per hour seems excessive for such a straightforward job. To make matters worse, they didn’t keep the old battery, leaving me to dispose of it myself.

This experience left me feeling like I was taken advantage of, and unfortunately, it’s unlikely I’ll be coming back. I was hoping to find a reliable mechanic for my four cars, one of which is a classic that requires frequent attention. However, after this experience, I’m not confident in their honesty or pricing practices. I don’t believe I should have been charged over $100 an hour for just swapping out a battery and terminals. I won't be back.

Eric said they gave him the runaround. The prices kept changing and it was not a good experience. There are other services that they did that were great, but when he had them do other services he was upset, prices were not fair. They are good at a certain thing, but there are certain things that they can't do. He suggested they be more straight forward with the customer please.
