The absolute worse new car buying experience ever. Purchase a new Sante Fe Calligraphy on 10/31/24 picked up on 11/7/24returned for repair due to a Chassis Control Unit error on 11/11/24(83 miles). Went to pick up vehicle around 12/12/24 there was damage to the passenger door, all of the panels inside the vehicle where they pried the dash open had scratches and pried marks. I left the vehicle and insisted they repair. Finally pick up the car on 2/18/25 over three months later. Now less than having the vehicle 3 weeks I notice that the windshield cleaning system does not work in the front or back. This must have also been damage in their procession because it was working when I purchased. Now I have to take back again. I contacted the general manager Ryan Rios numerous times, who couldn’t be bothered to assist. I have opened a case for the Texas Lemon Law in hopes I can cut my losses. I would not advise purchasing from this dealership. To have error on the car is one thing but to have damage to all the panels on the inside, damage to the tint, significant ding on the driver passenger door panel, and to have 273 miles on the car when it was provided with only 83 miles on it all indicate there are people there doing things that shouldn’t be happening. To make matter worse when you reach to anyone who suppose to have the power and ability to help resolve, you get no response. Please learn from my mistake at this dealership. I’ve been paying for a car I haven’t been able to enjoy at all. They won’t buy it back although they have had it longer than I have. So I’m either stuck with a 50K constant problem or I get rid of it and end up upside down in another vehicle. Worst experience ever!! Save you money, time, and sanity!

Unethical salesmen and sales managers
I had a truly disappointing experience at this dealership. They play shady games and are completely dishonest. I agreed on a price for a car, signed the CARFAX and as-is documents, and even had my credit pulled, thinking the deal was finalized. After that, they made me wait for two hours, saying the financial manager was preparing the paperwork. Meanwhile, I could see him in the break room having dinner, which was frustrating.
What’s worse is that during this time, another customer came in and expressed interest in the car I was buying. The dealership then started negotiating with this new customer for the same car, despite my documents already being signed. When they finally returned to me, they raised the price higher than what we had agreed on. When I insisted they honor our original deal, they refused and said if I didn’t agree to the new price, there would be no sale.
This place has serious ethical issues and prioritizes profit over customer trust. I strongly advise staying away from this dealership. Save yourself the time and frustration.

Great Experience with Buying My New Sonata
Although it took a few tries to test drive my Sonata, the drive was worth the wait! Rianne was very helpful in getting me into the car. And as someone else said I was met with caring and concern that I get what I wanted. I would definitely recommend Vandergriff to purchase a vehicle. Also, I feel like I got a great deal. And I can say I love my new car. It’s not too big but it is so comfortable and really just beautiful!!!
Thank u to everyone who played a part in me getting my new car. And one more shout out to Rianne for delivering it to me - truly above and beyond the call of duty!

They will try to con you out of as much $ as they can. Avoid buying any warranties, they won't honor them. They are just trying to get more money out of you. They refuse to make it right. They are old school shady used car salesmen.

Lost my car
Sad and terrible experience. My daughter has been to this dealership to purchase a car. She has been passed from one person to another each with a different story or offer. Numbers are all over the place. She finally settles and purchases the car. Vandergriff Hyundai in Arlington agreed to repair the bumper and scratches on the trunk. They sent her home with no loaner car because they claimed someone had wrecked the loaner car. The pre owned Manage said the car would be ready the next day. She came back to the dealership and is once again passed off to different people and the car is not ready and is told it usually takes 72 hours. They give her a loaner. (?) Then she returns again to pick up the car. They let her know they cannot find the car. They think a manager took it home or the body guy locked the keys up. We had LoJack installed and she can see her car is 20 miles away from the dealership at this time. They have no answers. They offered another loaner car. The offered to deliver the car. More excuses and lies as she sits there an hour and a half away from home and still no car.

Bait and switch pricing!
This dealership had a vehicle listed on website for 54,276 and quoted at that price by salesman Gamez after beginning negotiations on a price with Mr. Gamez he spoke with his sales manager on my offer and came back with a response of priced at56,367 we’d be shooting ourselves in the foot if we go any lower! I mentioned the internet price I had seems and Mr. Gamez confirmed upon first speaking with him and his response was I’m looking on the site now it’s 55k. I sent him a screenshot of the listed price I called on and Mr Gamez said he was going to speak with his manager and see if they would honor it, as expected no call back. This review along with pics are listed on other review sites so no one wastes time on lunch breaks after work etc with this company.

I had leased a new car from here last year and this year had to bring it in for service and because the car overheated. I want to personally thank Mo, Matthew, Stephen, Mercedes, the back office staff, the detail team and the technician because of their customer service in the service dept. 5 out of 5!! It felt like I was driving a brand new car all over again when I left there today with a grin from ear to ear!!
