Buyer be Aware!!!
Buyer be aware!! I was interested in a vehicle but they already put tint and lojack on the vehicle and priced in the value of the car. I was fine with the tint, but how yall make a customer pay for something they didn't want or will never use. And then when I do set low jack up on the app it says lojack needs to be installed from the dealership. Come to find out the vehicle didn't have lojack. The dealership has to install it with a 12 month subscription for $800 which was included of the price of the car....Ripoff!!!!

Don't honor their word after the sale.
I purchase a used car from them in July and I still don't have a working radio. When I bought the car they said they would fix it. I took my car to them four times and I still as of today September 20th 2024 don't have a working radio. Now they calls they don't call you back. The salesperson was great. Management sucks.

They destroyed my car.
Brought my car in for brakes and was told my radiator was cracked. I had no Heating issues before. After they fixed my radiator my car started overheating it took them 4 months to fix it after causing massive motor damage to my car. 3,000 miles later the car started having problems again they refuse to stand by their work. I took it to another mechanic they told me the work that was done was horrendous. I'm out thousands of dollars and have a car that no longer works. Whatever you do stay away from Westgate.

Always Excellent Customer Service
I’ve been coming to Westgate for the past two years and Jaymar has always given excellent customer service! She goes out of her way to keep me informed of my Jeep, when it’s gonna be ready, etc. She always has an amazing attitude. I always ask for her whenever I need anything from Westgate. Thank you, Jaymar.!!!

Undisclosed damage on used car
I bought a 2020 Ford explorer ST with 99k miles. That's a lot of miles, but we bought at a cheaper price and have a mechanic in the family who can help keep cars last longer so the mileage didn't scare us.


The people are very smiley and want to do anything to take your money. They also promised they would take care of the Ford recall work before we signed the papers and then said screw you, take it to Ford after all the paperwork was signed.

We then immediately found the problem driving off the lot. Very rough shifting and three weeks after buying the vehicle find out we need an entire transmission replacement which will cost 7k! The Ford Professional Technician system shows the vehicle threw a code at least once before it was sold to us and we were not provided any information as such when buying the vehicle. The issue literally started when on the way home from the dealership. We understand the "As Is" nature of the contract, this does not excuse not giving the customer a complete picture of the "As Is" state when purchasing. Further more it seems that while in the care of the dealership the vehicle was "thoroughly enjoyed" as evidenced by the 5.5mpg average discovered after being in the vehicle (normal avg is 21mpg). I have my doubts on if the transmission was in this state when they got it as a trade in.

It seems that we are not the only people that have had similar issues from Westgate and the trust is gone.

Buyer Beware
Scammers! Hid information on purpose to make money! Had to replace a transmission for 7k 3 weeks after we bought the car!!! Take your business elsewhere! They hang up whenever a past customer calls.
They are super pushy to get the deal done knowing they are selling you a car with a lot of problems :( please everyone stay away.
The Ford dealership we took the car we bought to said this is not the first time they have seen this from Westgate.
They have a horrible reputation in the area for doing this to many people.

BUYER BEWARE
This dealership sold me a Grand Cherokee with concealed FRAME DAMAGE under the guise of a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle on 02/22. This was confirmed to me by none other than their OWN body shop. Took a week for the owner to agree that my money was to be refunded (03/10). Sales manager had to cut the check, who gave me the run around for a week, then quit/was fired (?). On 03/24, I am told that now, the owner has to write the check, but he is out of town. Today, 03/28, he wants to “meet” with me. About what? There is nothing to discuss. They promised a refund.

I would take your business elsewhere. They owe me $38,000 for a vehicle I have not possession of since 03/03. I am 24 and this was my first car buying experience. Now, I’ve got two car loans and a weight on my shoulders. What I don’t have is the $13,000 cash I used for a down payment.

Service department wrecked my truck and refused to fix it
Avoid Westgate Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Westgate Road in Raleigh NC at all costs!! In Aug of 2022, I took my truck in for recall work. The Westgate Ram Service department wrecked my truck. They then kept my truck for 3 weeks at Westgate Collision, didn't provide me a loaner vehicle and didn't properly repair the damage. For four months, I tried to get them to fix the truck and they made up every excuse possible as to why they couldn't work on it that day or that week. Finally I had the truck repaired at another collision center. Westgate refused to reimburse my expenses. All total, I was without my vehicle for 39 days between the two collision centers, I was also out the cost of two Uber rides, and the cost to repair the remaining damage to my truck was about $2500. Companies are judged by the way they treat their customers. The way I was treated says a lot about Westgate’s integrity and values. Their negligence cost me a lot of out of pocket expenses and they are refusing to make it right. We are now 7 months past the incident and they have had every opportunity to stand up and do the right thing, but instead they continue to refuse, while hiding behind their legal representative. Despite what they said they would do, they never wanted to make the situation right, they just wanted to make it go away at the least possible cost. They clearly do not care about their customers.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!
On Jan 16, 2023 I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro from here and it has been a disaster!! 15 minutes after leaving the dealership the check engine light came on. I immediately called the dealership spoke with my salesman, he assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I said no I’m not comfortable with this at all, I did not spend $28,000 on a car to have the check engine light come on as soon as I leave the dealership. Since I live a little over a hour away he told me to take to a dealership close to me and they would cover whatever needs to be fixed. Well $1400 later and the dealership that was making the repairs continuously tried to reach out to Westgate and they would not respond. The car literally sat at the dealership for days waiting for Westgate to respond. They FINALLY responded after I called and spoke with someone and you can only imagine how mad I was! We get the car back and literally the next day the check engine light is back on, oh and not to mention the car starts running hot!!! (This is less than 3 weeks of having the car) I take it back to the wonderful dealership that was making the repairs and they run a diagnostic on it AGAIN and it is the O2 Sensor and now the Thermostat needs to be replaced. Another $13-$1400 worth of repairs. I have not even had this car a month and $2700 worth of repairs has had to be done to this vehicle. Nevertheless this was a purchase for my son on his 18th birthday!!!! He has not had this car a total of 5 or 6 days since our purchase on Jan 16th. I was told at the dealership well you know when you buy a used car there could be things like this. UMMMM NO NOT 15min after pulling out of the dealership and still dealing with it today! I ended up having to go back to the dealership because they would not return my calls. They said well we can trade it and put you in another vehicle. First of all, they did not have another Camaro on the lot in our price range, second of all, why would I want to buy another vehicle from this dealership. I’d be scared the next one would just completely fall apart! This is the worst dealership EVER!! You would think they would actually care about their customers and their purchases and ESPECIALLY their reputation, however it seems to me all they care about is getting you to sign those papers and out the door, because once you do you’re stuck!!! Well, they haven’t heard the end of this with me. I will tell everyone that I speak to that is looking a car NOT to go to Westgate. Terrible car dealership and not the way to treat customers and apparently by reading these other reviews there have been lots of people done this way. Just wish I had read this before and also the BBB complaints! WOW!! Had I only known.

Service dept wrecked my truck
Disastrous service experience at @Westgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram on Old Westgate Rd in Raleigh. Took my truck in for recall work and one of their employees ran into the side of it, denting the quarter panel (Dually). They wouldn’t tell me exactly what happened or provide any insurance information. The truck had about 1700 miles on it. They kept it for three weeks and the fix was incomplete. Tried to get Westgate to complete the fix for the last 6 weeks without success. Had the remaining repair work appraised at another collision center and the estimate is over $2000. At the time of the accident, the Westgate GM refused to provide a loaner vehicle, downplayed the situation and minimized it, without even walking outside to look at the damage. In summary, they wrecked my truck, the GM then treated me like I was bothering him and then they failed to fix it properly and in a timely manner. If you care about your truck and don’t want to be treated like crap, you should probably find a dealer that actually cares about their customers. I am out a lot of money and time and apparently these folks just do not care.

Don't buy their GAP insurance
I bought a brand new Jeep renegade there almost 6 years ago at first it was great they found me the car wanted they got it for me they helped me finance it everything was cool. Then I made the mistake of paying it off a year early over a year early. Try getting the extra money I paid for the gap insurance. I spent January questioning it received notice saying it would take 30 days first of March I ask again the check is on its way first of April I ask again no response at all this time they owe me several hundred dollars and I wanted but I'm not going to get it and I've accepted the fact that this is a lousy place to be business and will never do it again. Save yourself time and aggravation don't deal with them. Something as simple as the "lifetime" roadside assistance plan expired last year I didn't realize my lifetime had ended. They're so called lifetime free oil changes turned out to be totally worthless. You make an appointment they say "you don't need an appointment just bring it in" you take it in "do you have an appointment?" Wasn't worth the stress so I ended up taking it somewhere else I'd rather pay for it than deal with those idiots. And heaven forbid you don't drink coffee you better bring your own if you want it something else. Listen to the reviews run far run fast.

Worst experience ever!!!
Test driving a Jeep Wrangler-They had this thing on the lot with a death wobble! Certified?? No!! Needed new shocks and ball joints and tires. Which they did finally fix. Wanted me to pay to have it delivered to me. When it did finally get delivered it was not clean. 2 cracks in the windshield. One headlights bracket is broke. Other headlight flashes. I paid almost $40,000 for a vehicle which now I’m having to put money into it because the sales rep will not even get back to me! I was stupid for buying from them. Do not buy from these people!!!! Horrible experience!!

They’ll sell you a car then sell it to someone else
If you are looking for a dealership that will have you sign all your paperwork for a car that they are transferring in from their wake forest store and then sell it to someone else… then look NO further! This is the dealership for you. Not only will they do that they will also drag their feet on telling you the “bad news” and then… this is my favorite part!!!!!——-They’ll ignore your text response which asks for a resolution to the problem they created. I now have an approved loan from my bank (which they knew about, they just didn’t get the check in hand yet), an inquiry on my credit, signed paperwork for a car they sold someone else days after we agreed to buy it and physically signed the paperwork and yup YOUUUU guessed it. No new car.
I’ve sold cars for 6 years at a different brand. I’ve never treated a customer like this. We are return customers and drive up to Raleigh all the way from Fayetteville to even service it because of how great they HAD been. Absolutely disgusted with this dealership.
