Slow Service!
I am beyond frustrated with the service I’ve received from Hyundai of Matteson. On Tuesday, December 17, I scheduled an appointment for my 2020 Hyundai Elantra, which was having trouble starting. They set me up for Wednesday, December 18, at 7:45 AM. I dropped my vehicle off Tuesday evening with the expectation that they would look at it on Wednesday. However, this has been nothing but an infuriating, drawn-out nightmare.

On Wednesday, we spoke with Jordan, the service advisor, who claimed the starter was operating at “six volts” and not functioning properly. I don’t fully understand this technical jargon, so I asked a trusted friend to step in and help. My friend questioned Jordan, particularly since the starter had already been replaced. Jordan then said they would run a draw test and get back to us. That never happened.

We called on Thursday and were met with excuses about their phone system being down all day. Fine, things happen, but the complete lack of communication is unacceptable. On Friday, we finally reached Jordan, and he claimed they were just starting the draw test they had supposedly planned to run on Wednesday. He then told us the test would take 24 to 48 hours and wouldn’t be completed until Monday, December 23.

Monday morning, after waiting days, we called Jordan again. He suddenly shifted the issue, now claiming it had something to do with the ignition coil and that the starter, alternator, and battery were all fine. Jordan said he would contact the warranty company and call us back with a quote within 15–20 minutes. Guess what? That call never came.

By 2 PM, we had to call back and ended up speaking with Laura from the service department. She said Jordan was on lunch and she’d try to help. She told us the problem was now back to being the starter, contradicting what Jordan had told us earlier. Then she claimed Jordan was busy with three other customers but would call us back. Once again, no one called us back.

As of now, my vehicle has been sitting at Hyundai of Matteson for over a week with no resolution, no clear communication, and conflicting information. This is absolutely ridiculous! How can a multi-million-dollar company operate with such poor service and disorganization? They are going to charge $300 for diagnostics, yet it’s obvious they don’t even know what the issue is. This level of incompetence and lack of follow-through is unacceptable, and I’m tired of being shuffled around.

I demand a resolution immediately. This has cost me time, money, and peace of mind. Get your act together!

I had a great experience with my representatives LJ & MJ. They understood my situation and worked with me. They put me in a 2025 with reasonable payments. I couldn’t be happier with them! Y’all are so awesome! Much love!

I wish I could rate 0 stars. A bunch of liars work there. They lie, like any credit is accepted and there is no money down. They have you sitting for hours, pretending to get your approval. Read the negative reviews on Google, please. They will tell you that you're approved and that all credit has been accepted. No money down, and they have you sitting for hours while they run the game on five other customers. I wish I had read the reviews before I went in. Type in their name on Google. Look at the reviews, then. Scroll down and look under Lowest Reviews. I wish I had done a Google search before I went to these lying, uncaring people. Free oil changes take hours to do. How can these people sleep at night? They get you there with false promises and lies. and praying that you will fall in love with the vehicle. Have you sitting there for hours telling you that you were approved? They are trying to get you the lowest rate and a better deal. Do yourself a favor. Don't let these people check your credit and waste credit points. The only way you will get a vehicle out of here is if you have excellent credit or almost excellent credit with a big down payment. What they are doing should be against the law and stopped. They are going to trick and play around with the wrong person, and they won't like the results. No finance company or car advertising sites should deal with this company or refer people to buy vehicles here, and I came in with Real check stubs and documents. They say no co-sign is needed. The biggest liars are the lady who lied to get me to come in, and the salespeople are Louis and Brandon. I dint come with false documents.

Horrible, Horrible Service Department and Customer Service
My vehicle has been in the shop over a month and has yet to be repaired. We received a phone call and told the vehicle was ready got to dealership and after waiting several hours a still damaged vehicle was brought out. Needless to say, we were livid. No one could tell us why no one knew our vehicle was not repaired. The front bumper was missing, how could they expect us to take the vehicle home in that condition. They have not been forth coming with us. There is no rating listed above for less than poor.

Horrible, Horrible Service Department and Customer Service
There is no rating above that would accurately reflect our feelings about this dealership, it would be less than poor. Our car was taken to the dealership on 08/24/23, my husband received call from Camille Vega 09/28/23 both cars were ready, and we can come in to pick up. We only had one car in waiting on repairs. Went into dlrshp on 09/29/23 early
afternoon, after waiting about 3-4 hours were brought a damaged vehicle. In speaking with Art the manger and another service rep NO ONE KNEW THE VEHICLE WASN'T REPAIRED. Camille Vega was contacted and stated we were not told to come and pick it up. We also asked to speak with the owner, was told he's never in the dealership. Now we have a lying manager who's over the entire operation and no one else to go to. We were told the part wasn't in. How can an entire service department not know this vehicle has not been repaired and still brought it to us as if it were.

Lies Lies and more Lies
I had a disappointing experience at World Hyundai in Matteson that I feel compelled to share. As a loyal customer who has purchased five cars from them, I expected better treatment. Recently, I received a call from someone at the dealership, suggesting that I trade in or refinance my car. Excited about the possibility, I visited the dealership and met with EG, my salesman.

However, my encounter with EG was far from satisfactory. Despite being told that I could refinance after making on-time payments for 12-24 months, EG did not fulfill this promise. Instead, he seemed disinterested and neglected to provide me with the information I needed. I felt ignored, frustrated, and even disrespected during the process.

To make matters worse, when I expressed my interest in refinancing, EG told me that I was upside down in my loan. I knew he was lying, as I had met all the criteria he had previously outlined. Feeling deceived and disappointed, I gathered my information and left the dealership.

It is disheartening that after purchasing five cars from World Hyundai and sharing a common Hispanic heritage with EG, I couldn't trust him. This experience has left me with a sour taste and I can confidently say that I will never buy a car from World Hyundai again. I want others to be aware of EG's dishonesty and lack of integrity.

To address this issue, I plan to reach out to the dealership's customer service department or management team to express my concerns. Additionally, I will consider sharing my experience on various platforms to help others make informed decisions when choosing a dealership.

It's important to note that not all staff members at World Hyundai may share EG's behavior. However, I would advise anyone considering a car purchase to seek recommendations from trusted sources to ensure a more positive experience.

Horrible Service department
I am extremely disappointed in the service that I received on yesterday August 22nd. I brought my vehicle in for an issue that arose after i only came in for an oil change on 8/11/23. I had an appt. at 7:30am and I arrived at 7:27am. I DID NOT leave there until 10:37. They could not figure out the problem and this was known early on. My time was wasted and I have to make a return visit once the parts come in. I was told that they could figure out the issue by one service rep and I was told there was a recall on my vehicle by another service rep. I was told that my vehicle would be washed and DRIED and of course that DID NOT HAPPEN! I was most OUTRAGED about the fact that a SWEATY VALET DRIVER WAS IN MY VEHICLE! HE pulled up with sweat dripping off him and in my seat, console etc... I was absolutely disgusted!!! Because COVID 19 PROTOCOLS are relaxed; does that mean we are not practicing safe hygiene and safety for our customers??? No placemats, no seat covers etc... I live in Bronzeville; not around the corner! Please update your customer service like you have cosmetically updated your dealership!

Service department is terrible
Your service department doesn't even deserve 1 star. Brought my 2022 Hyundai Sonata in for scheduled oil change at 10,000 miles. The next day it started running poorly. I checked the oil, there was none. Had it towed in and was told that it was a faulty filter. I didn't buy that because there was no sign of oil leak on my driveway or on the engine. Brought it back in on 7/10 for scheduled 15,000 oil change. On the way home the oil light came on checked the oil, again no oil. This time they sent a tech to my house with a 5 quart jug of oil. He put it in, said everything is okay and left. I can't say that I was just unlucky twice because while checking in at the service department the lady in front of me told me that she was there because she had an oil change there and they didn't put the oil cap back on. If you can't get an oil change right, how can you be trusted with any service? Also there was no invoice documenting the service call to my house. Could this be so you can deny that this ever happened?

They lie they tell u anything to get u in the door. I wasted a hour drive and 3 hrs. Walked out with nothing. While I was there said I was a perigee and even for a new car and no money through a special financing thing. It was all lies lies lies.
