Not your normal Chevy.

Not your normal Chevy. The car has been extremely dependable for my mom. Her car is not your normal vehicle. It is now almost 20 years old and only has 38,000 miles on it. We have the receipt for every single oil change and other pieces of maintenance that had to be done. Considering the low mileage there have been some issues with the vehicle that you wouldn’t expect on a car with only 38,000 miles. The car has never slept outside since it’s been bought new off the showroom floor. It runs nice and seems dependable for the most part. We have had an issue with the airflow sensor a couple of times over the last 20 years. It’s hard to say I would recommend this vehicle again considering I don’t think there’s a chance of finding another 20 year old Chevy impala with this low of mileage. It’s basically like a unicorn

I rate it a zero.

This is the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever owned in my life and I’m 63 years old. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. Needed an engine rebuild at 52K miles. Electrical problems. The list goes on and on. I will never purchase a GM vehicle again. Their quality is suspect and they do not stand behind their products. The chief engineer who let this vehicle escape should be fired. Brake and fuel lines that rot. Ever heard of stainless steel? I have over $12K in repairs. If I could rig up and run it into a wall at full throttle, I would for personal satisfaction. It’s been a pure nightmare!! Thanks GM and Chevrolet!!!

I am very happy with my car..

I've been driving my 2002 Impala since 2010 and I think it is a very good dependable car. I would like to keep it for as long as I can.. I believe that keeping any car in good running order is to have it service regulary and maintence done as needed.

2002 Impala

Best car I ever owned still going strong at 208000 miles next goal is 300000. Very Comfortable, and very roomy including a very large trunk space. I get over 32 miles to the gallon on the highway, I like the way the back seats fold down and make the trunk even roomier.

Happy owner of a 02 Bow Tie Impala LS

Really great car overall! Cosmeticly with very minor dents and scratches here and there nothing to crazy just showing its age! Rides and turns so nice while my tooshy stays warm from the heated leather seats! Bumping a$$ sterio! Bitchen sun roof and very spacious for the 1 child in the back. Huge truck for those weekend grocery getting days. Modest gas mileage for being a 3.8 v6! Only 2 quarals I have is the smell of coolant after driving when walking by the hood no leaks though. Second even though it gets up to freeway speed with smooth gear shifts I kinda wish there was a little more umpff to the motor but then again with that comes lower mpg!
