Genesis answer to BMW, MB, and Lexus

20 years ago, if you told me I would lust after an automobile made in Korea, I'd say you were nuts. Today it's happened. What great cars! Having said that, Genesis has a ways to go before they match the dealership/sales/service experience of their key competitors. Hopefully, you will get there soon

Luxury and speed

Love this car, but don't love the gas mileage trunk space could be a bit larger. The long distance ride, was very smooth and enjoyable. Would have liked more information on all the options on rear view mirror,and how to take advantage of all the perks.

Gen70

There could be a little more leg room in front and back. With only 250 miles on vehicle since day of lease I am still getting used to the navigation of display features. Right now I am having difficulty in displaying tire PSI readings. I will go back to user manual to figure it out.

An excellent car.

A very beautiful good looking sporty car with excellent preformance, handling and available all wheel drive. A very nice comfortable interior that is well laid out. One of the best warranties in the industry. A superior value. Whats not to like.?????

Excellent value

Very satisfied with my purchase. It's drives like a German car with all the safety features of a Volvo all for a reasonable price. The ride, comfort and attention to detail is very high. The only two negatives I see are the poor rear leg room and the abysmal trunk size.

G70 Review

Front seats in this G70 are more comfortable than in my previous G80. Friends have commented on the excellent exterior styling. Heating and AC controls in the G70 are easier to use and understand than in previous G80s. Negatives: gas tank is too small and tires seem to be noisy however our roads may be the problem. Overall excellent vehicle.

Superior New Entry to the compact luxury segment

In considering the vehicles in the car segment I truly considered them alllll. Given the performance, features, looks and especially the price there was truly no comparison. The ride quality easily matches the BMW, Mercedes and far surpasses the Lexus and Infiniti. I chose the 2.0 turbo model as it met my needs for my limited driving requirements. My previous vehicle was an Audi A5 and the Genesis G70 blows it away!

Fantastic car and value

This car has amazing performance, great styling, and a very nice interior. In the wet it handles very well with the AWD (I haven't had a chance to drive it in the snow yet). The interior materials are very good quality and the switchgear works very well. Controls are well laid out. The infotainment system is straight from a Hyundai and stuck up on the dash, so that's a little weird, but I really like the menus/display - they're very easy to use. There are an amazing amount of features for the money - both safety and convenience. The safety features work very well, although some of them I've just turned off (ex: driver monitoring). The auto-turning headlights work fantastic. Fuel economy hasn't been stellar, but it's not bad. I'm actually doing better than the EPA ratings, at about 24.5 combined. The Genesis dealerships are a still ramping up, and it shows. They have treated me very nice, but they don't necessarily have in place (yet) the capacity for valet cars, the ability to order Genesis accessories, etc. I expect that will change over time.

Great with One Exception

Overall this is a good car for the price. The style, handling and fit and finish are great; however, considering this car is sold as performance car and advertised as competition to the likes of the BMW 3 series and others, the acceleration off the line is lagging. from a dead stop, when the accelerator is pushed, the car briefly lags before acceleration occurs. My previous Ford Fusions accelerated quicker from a stop. I expected better performance from the engine/turbo.

Excellent vehicle

Happy with the vehicle. Wishing for a dedicated dealer. Split with Hyundai entirety. This is a premium brand, such as Lexus, Infiniti etc. Give us a seperate dealership. Its important to the ownership experience. Genesis is seriously taking it to the Germans (three-time M3 owner here) and you're product is awesome!

So far satisfied with product and first Korean made auto leased. Compares favorably to German and Japanese autos but since this is a relatively new product I will wait until I have more miles driven to review reliability of vehicle After 10000 miles I will reevaluate this vehicle.

THE REAL DEAL FOR YOUR MONEY!

I got this to replace a MINI Cooper Clubman All 4 because the lease was up. I have heard many things about a new car that Genesis had designed. I did some research and found that it was true and the features it had were impressive. The G70. Wow was I impressed! This thing is like a rocket! As with rockets, they consume a great deal of fuel. If that does not bother you and your looking for an affordable fast luxury sports car that is fully loaded, this is for you. You will not be disappointed.

G70 excellent value for the money

Excellent car, sporty, modern, hyper-connected, fun to drive, a lot of driver assistance and safety features. Infotainment system clear and easy to use. Limited leg room in back seat but good enough for children. Limited baggage storage too (though enough for 2 big bag) or week vacation.

Great car!

Its a great car. Fun to drive, unique and reliable. Love the power from the 3.3 liter V6 and the remote app. Wish it had ambient lighting and perhaps a little more back seat room. Gas mileage has been so-so but that's expected from a car with 365 hp. Like the fact that when servicing is due, they will come and pick up the car saving me a trip to the dealership.

Great Car

Fun to drive. So far, one of the most enjoyable cars to drive that I have ever owned. Easy to drive, handling is great. Low noise level on highway. So far, I am extremely happy with my G70. I hope that it stays that way. Only have 2025 miles on the car.

2019 Genesis G70 Sport

For the price the car cant be beat! The acceleration, and the handling are near perfect when set to sport. Then you flip it to comfort and you are sitting in a car that is just as comfortable as something twice as expensive. The exterior body lines are beautiful, and the paint is marvelous, Interior trim reminds me of the s-line interior for Audi. My only complaint is with the brakes and for me it's a big one. The brakes overheat very quickly. Heavy traffic, highway use, anything above 55mph or a hot summer day and all I get is one good stop. After that I have to give myself much more room to stop because it absolutely needs it. I know the calipers are brembo but I'm not sure the disc's are. Brembo.com doesn't list the car as having its products on the car.
