2022 Genesis GV70
Genesis really hit it out of the park with the GV70. Even with the cost of the Sport Prestige package, the 3.5T trim provides provides luxury and performance that is on par with, if not surpass, other premium brands at a much better value point! Moreover, other luxury brands can't match Genesis factory warranty. The GV70 doesn't handle like a BMW, but that is why you buy a BMW. As a premium luxury vehicle, it has all the boxes checked off. For those brand loyalists, and you know who you are, Genesis IS a premium brand. Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, BMW and even Mercedes should be concerned. The GV70 continues to amaze me. The technology is outstanding. The fit and finish of the GV70 is as expected for a premium vehicle with no corners cut. I love the open feel of the cockpit and the texture and quality of the interior. The power of the 3.5t twin turbo v6 has a bit of turbo lag, but that enhances the driving experience for me. If mpg matters, this may not be a vehicle for you. It is hard to not stump on the gas pedal just to hear and feel the V6 come alive. An experience that is primal yet refined, but not sterile like a Tesla. I didn't buy the GV70 to race on the tracks or go offroad. I can't attest to its offroad abilities. However, when I aggressively take corners on the tarmac, there is body roll, but it remains composed. Despite the larger wheels of the Sport Prestige package, the ride is not stiff. More importantly, when I drive my GV70, it makes me happy regardless of what my mood was before I stepped in the vehicle. Driving the GV70 continues to put a smile on my face.
