Hyundai Elantra
I got my new Hyundai Elantra about 4 years ago. My kids were grown and it was time to turn in the minivan and get something smaller and sportier. At the time, my only real concern was whether or not I could fit both of my Siberian Huskies in the back seat, without them being too crowded. Well, turns out that I could. One put his head out of drivers side back window and the other put her head out of the passenger side back window, with their two fluffy behinds touching and their tails criss-crossing. They liked standing up and leaning against the back seat. The car is zippy, great on gas, and reliable. I love my bumper to bumper warranty, and the dealership, where I got it, Rick Case Hyundai, has a terrific service department. I jokingly refer to my Hyundai Elantra as my clown car. It is amazing what I can fit in it. I have been able, every Spring, to get a local garden store to load 26 bags of cypress mulch into the car, when it is just me driving. The back seats fold down, too, in case you have to put something in the trunk that is long. I have taught 2 teenagers to drive in this car, and knowing it's safety ratings really means a lot. We are planning on adding a 3rd vehicle to our family, as our youngest is college bound. She will be commenting to college, from home, and we want her in something safe. We are thinking a Hyundai Sante Fe or Tucson. My husband has a Sonata Hybrid and he loves his car too.
