2012 Genesis
The car is comfortable and a pleasure to drive. While the gas mileage is rather poor at 13mpg it isn't really a problem given that we drive only about 10K mi/yr. Overall, we've been pleased with the car. The positives include efficient air conditioning, comfortable adjustable seats with seat heaters. Pleasant design. And several other positives, too numerous to list.
The negatives include the fact that we had to have the transmission replaced at about 35K mi., but it was under the warranty. The driver's side view mirror is located in such a position that it blocks the street level view when making left turns. This makes it a bit dicey when we have to make left turns. The blue tooth doesn't always connect correctly, and the navigation system is close to worthless when searching for destinations to set and actually setting them. Adjusting the maps is kinda hit or miss. Adjusting the guidance volume is also problematic when it comes to adjusting it without changing the radio volume while driving. You have to keep going back to settings to make the adjustment. And, finally, the owner's manual is a joke: Try to find where the battery is located. Figure out how to change the windshield wipers without going to you tube. Find where the trunk release is on the trunk itself. Find which fuses control which circuits, and where are the fuses located. There's an entire category of "If ..." Really?
