2012 Hyundai Genesis

I still enjoy driving my 2012 Genesis , It is still a great ride , I have 57,000 miles, and just replaced one of the orig. tires, the other 3 will probably be replaced sometime later this year. My only fault is that this vehicle is RWD, when it snows, it is left in my garage. I then use my wife's AWD SUV. I wish I had waited a few years when the AWD Genesis became available.

Old Style Luxury

Eventhough this car is a 2012 Genesis - I adore the luxury and reliability of this car. Fitzgerald made it affordable and when I drive it I feel safe and secure. Hoping to have a 2016 Genesis soon

A great car

The only problems I had with my car was the cruise control went out but it was totally covered by warranty, thank goodness as it was a very expensive repair. Also one of the control buttons for sirius radio stopped working, it was covered by warranty.

close but not quite there.

1. No steering feel. 2.Transmission manually downshifts slowly or not at all. 3. Radio surround setting needs to be set constantly. Great car with many options for cheap since depreciation is high for this model. Love the ride, and the looks.

Overall great car, a few quirks

I love this car. Great quality, feels like a much more expensive sedan. I have a 2012, I got it at 2 years old and has been great for my family. Looks great, great gas mileage, comfortable, reliable, rides quiet, great trunk space. But as with all things you love, it's not perfect. One thing that hopefully they have changed is the gas refill issue. For what ever reason, the way they made the nozzle receptor - it doesn't seal well with newer gas dispensers. At some stations you can't even fill the car, it just keeps clicking off. I have never been able to click the handle and have it fill by itself, though i have found it does seem to work better at old gas stations. The other thing is the voice command system is virtually useless, you can't get to your contacts by voice, and if you do receive a call, the reception is horrible, everyone says they can't understand me. A minor thing is it's a pretty long car, so the suspension seems a bit "boaty" or maybe it just needs to be adjusted? Overall would absolutely recommend.

2012 Genesis

What can I say but, I love my Genesis!! I love the look and the ride is so smooth. Before I bought my car, I looked at the Mercedes, Audi, BMW, and Infiniti and for what I received in my car for the price was a better deal. I definitely would purchase another Genesis when ready to trade in my car. I have had no problems outside o regular maintenance (oil change, filter changes, changed tires, etc).

Excellent vehicle at a very reasonable price.

I have the 2012 Genesis 3.8L sedan. It also has the Technology and Premium packages which provides a load of options (Lexicon Surround Sound, etc...). Power is more than adequate and interior comfort, legroom, headroom, heated front & rear seats, I could go on and on...

2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0

This is an excellent car in all but a few respects. The V8 power id fantastic and the gas mileage for a V8 is outstanding. Heated AND cooled seats are wonderful and the handling is superb. My only negative comment relates to oil consumption. My other automobile (2001 Honda Accord V6) has 123,000 miles and I have yet to add a drop of oil between 5,000 mile oil changes. My Genesis (with 23,000 miles) uses about 1/2 to1 quart of oil between 3,000 mile oil changes. I am hopeful that this is because the break-in has not been completed...all told, I am happy with the car.

Touch Screen Problem

I love my 2012 Hyundai Genesis, but right now I'm experiencing a bad problem. The touch screen for radio, GPS and other functions suddenly quit work for no apparent reason. The dealer tried some resets to get it working. Still nothing. This car has less than 50,000 miles on it. It looks and drives like a brand new car, but I can't live with this problem. I listen to radio a lot and I need the touch screen. The biggest problem is I was quoted almost $9,000 in parts from Hyundai to get it fixed. If we can't get this worked out this car will lose a couple more stars in my review and this potential loyal owner will be looking for something new.
