Undeniable quality and performance

The Hyundai Genesis is definitely a game changer in the luxury vehicle category. It equals and in my opinion even surpasses what is being offered by Mercefes, BMW or Lexus. Anyone considering buying a luxury vehicle owes it to themselves to look at yhe Genesis.

Ghost

The V8 is a fun car to drive. Get pass the name on the car(2015 - I wouldn't take delivery until the trunk symbol was replaced with the wing ). Most individuals that see the car have no idea what it is.

Smooth and sharp looking

For the money, can not beat the performance, style and comfort. It is as tight now as it was 3 years ago. Is fun to drive, no rattles. Have priced the Lexus cars and copare to the Genesis, I went with the Genesis

Never thought another car would beat my Lincoln

I LOVED my Lincoln MKZ but after a car accident totaled it I decided to look at Lincoln and other brands; including Audi, Mercedes and the. I stumbled upon the Genesis line. The Genesis is loaded. Smooth ride with an opulent interior - best sound system I have ever experienced. The panoramic roof is a winner with me and with passengers, as are the rear heated seats. This IIHS rating makes me feel confident that my family and I are safe and the warranty makes me confident about the longevity of the vehicle as I drove a lot for work. I love this car and with the look of the new G70 it looks like my girlfriend might soon be a Genesis fan.

GREAT car with reservations

Beautiful car, great performance (the 5.0L is a rocket sled). Extremely comfortable especially on trips. Has virtually every option one could want. There appears to be an issue with cut-off clutch on power windows (intermittently will not open or get stuck when open, particularly in cold weather). BlueLink service is pricey for three different levels of service, but doesn't perform on basic functions (e.g. can't schedule service appointment as advertised). Number of items requiring service is roughly twice as large as other vehicles I've owned, resulting in expensive routine servicing.

Love the car but hate the paint

Overall, I love the car and haven’t had any major problems other than the paint. The paint on the roof trim is fading and getting worse and really detracts from the looks of the car. I contacted Hyundai to try to get the situation rectified, but I was denied as the vehicle was over 3 years past its in service service date.

Luxury ride without the luxury price

The Hyundai Genesis is an excellent car for the money. It is every bit as comfortable and luxurious as any Mercedes, Audi or BMW. The car has a great safety rating too. One big advantage is that you wont get chiseled by repairman when they see a G80 in your driveway like they do with a more prestigious brand. But you get the last laugh as this car is as good if not better than anything from Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, etc. It is primarily a highway cruiser and is not a "canyon carver," but it does almost everything with confidence. I would recommend this car to anyone that would like a luxurious, comfortable premium type car. However, the gas mileage is not great.

2015 Genesis

This is, hand down, the nicest car I have ever owned. That includes two Cadillac's, a Buick, and two Azera's. Hyundai has hit it out of the ballpark with the Genesis. It will be hard to ever go back to anything less. The Genesis is powerful, quite, and very agile. The sport mode is amazing. For a" luxury car" this thing is impressive. The 5.0 liter engine is smooth and delivers very consistent power whenever it's needed. It out performs my C5 Vette, astounding.

State of the Art automobile

Great gas mileage for a 5.0 engine. Love all the safety alerts. Makes driving much safer., The passenger seat would be better if was like the drivers seat. Ride is much better than my 2009 4.6 Genesis.

My Hyundai Genesis

I absolutely love this car. Almost every day I discover something new that is just great. It lights up when I push the button, if I have a cart full of groceries I do not have to do anything the trunk is open when I arrive with my key. I drove it to Laughlin and got an amazing 30mpg.

We enjoy driving our Genesis alot!

We just enjoy our Genesis and receive many compliments. Glad they had the color we wanted exterior and interior in house, able to drive off the lot. Any concerns we've had were taken of quickly. Many thanks to the services department for that.

2015 Genesis Review

Great car, does almost everything well. The front grill panel should be heated because when you drive in the cold weather and it gets wet & freezes, it will indicate to the driver you are following too close even when there is no one in front of you. Drove a 2018 Genesis while mine was being serviced. Two items: 1) not sure i like the Park button instead of the shifter moving all the way into park. In addition to being a major change in habit, believe it will be a safety concern and 2) being able to view where you are going forward while vehicle in drive is a little creepy and also a safety concern. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

Genesis review

I purchased the Genesis about 5 months ago. Since then I have logged about 7 thousand miles. It is a awesome car and is very well equipped. The Htrac feature really came in handy this past winter. I have owned almost every brand of luxury car and I really like the Genesis. Make sure you test drive one before spending more on another brand.

My Genesis after almost three years and 40k miles

The 2015 Genesis attracted me with its good looks, fine fit and finish, attractive cabin and loads of amenities. After nearly three years and almost forty thousand miles, the car remains impressive in many ways. It is a comfortable highway cruiser, and living in a northern city, the ride over the typical potholes is forgiving. The mileage is on par with other luxury sedans with all wheel drive. The car still has a solid feel, although a few annoying cabin rattles are beginning to make their presence known. It is a huge deal? I think somin a car that wants to be regarded in the same sphere as a BMW 5 Series or an E Class. For those of you in a northern climate, you’ll find the seat warmers (four places in my model) and the heated steering wheel, provide quick relief from the cold. The interior finishes have held up well, showing little sign of wear and tear. I’ve had some trouble getting windshield washer fluid to work in temperatures below 25 degree F. The fluid chamber is not heated as in the previously mentioned cars. You’ll have to get the most premium model to get genuine wood. It’s really inexcusable in a car that retails for north of $45K. The voice activation system is antiquated and I find myself syncing Siri so I can go on with my hands free task. The rest of the technology is fine. The car has every kind of sensor providing warnings for lane changing, rapid stops, a warning for cross traffic when backing out of a space. But the front sensor is touchy and must be kept spotless or it will go off on its own at every traffic light. Overall, it’s a great car to drive and I’m thinking that I’ll purchase it at the end of my lease. Only trouble is, I may have to buy one that I didn’t drive. Reports are showing that without the cache attached to other cars in it’s aspirational class, the Genesis is not holding its value the way a Beemer or Menz might, making is a great choice for a previously owned vehicle. My contract stipulates a buyout that may be higher than I might want to pay. The newer models have done away with the Hyundai badges on the rear deck lid to help polish the image. Don’t get me wrong, this is a really solid, comfortable and stylish sedan. The standard engiNe provides plenty of power, and the all wheel drive is great on dry and wet roads. But I’m old school and recommend that if you have a good deal of snow in the winter, change your tires accordingly. These things, like any other car with all weather shoes, will slip around. My rear wheel drive Benz outfitted with four snows performed flawlessly in the worst conditions. I can’t wait to see the next generation Genesis. These cars are changing the way to shop for an upscale mode of transportation.

Occasional Electrical Problems

I bought my 2015 Genesis brand new at Hyundai of Longview because of the overall luxury driving experience when I did a test drive before purchasing. I loved the heads up display the most, plus it had all the latest technology and electric start. I also liked the convenience of the dealership and wanted to get my car serviced there because of the knowledge they had and could keep my car running at its optimum. The one thing that I did not truly realize is the front bumper on the Genesis is very close to the ground. The bumper is a very sensitive area for this car. If you accidentally run over a rock, dog, truck tire rubber, road debris etc there is a GREAT CHANCE that you will do damage to a sensor (s). I have replaced my front bumper TWO TIMES. Since the first replacement, there have been several times that my car will go into a “crazy attack” where it flashes warning and check lights on my instrument panel. There was one time that my car would not start at all at my house and I had to contact Roadside Assist to tow my car to my local Hyundai dealership. The service department has been very nice and accommodating and each time they have had my car when it had one of these hiccup electrical problems they say that my car is fixed. But why does it go into these mysterious electrical attacks? My biggest fear is when the car goes out of warranty will Hyundai take care of my sensor problems or will they cut me lose and turn their back on me and tell me that my sensor problems or electrical problems are related to my very own accidents. It just seems that if you have an accident your car should be fixable and your warranty be reinstated. I have no hope at all being an owner of this car. We paid cash (no loan) for this automobile $49,900 and since August 2015 purchasing the Genesis until now March 2018 the electrical problems are occasional and random but definitely ongoing. I have over 28,500 miles on my car. I love my car, but it has been disappointing at the same time. I want to say I would buy it again, but I can’t say that I will. I have only had these types of problems with FORDS that I have owned and I won’t buy FORD cars anymore.
