Went from Sonata to 2015 Certified Sedan. What a great move up..car delivers more than expected in ride, power and features..will take this one to 200,000 miles, and paid half price with the lease return.

Nice vehicle, but it has its flaws

I am very satisfied with the performance aspect of the car, especially the acceleration, smooth ride, and stability. The paint is VERY poor quality. The paint has faded significantly and chipped on the roof trim and door handles. Overall, I’m satisfied.

Camber Issue. Turn signal issues

Hyundai Genesis has a know camber issue that causes severe tire wear. I have had 2 sets of tires that wore through to the steel belts within 15,000 miles. This happened without warning is not visible to observation as the wear happens on the inner 1/4 - 1/3 of the tires, and in one instance went flat while at 60, and in the other realized there was an issue because driving on wet pavement felt like I was driving on ice. This is a dangerous condition that happens to the tires at an interval not much different that an oil change.

Please send Pros and Cons section. I waited 2 years for the first 2015 model to arrive and have not been disappointed at all with the quality and performance of the Genesis. I am looking forward to someday getting the new G80 Sport

I love my Genesis, and that's after having a Audi and BMW. But I purchased it in Pensacola, FL.

I love the car, but it is starting to show age and it is not old.

I love this car. It looks great, has plenty of power and handles well on the road. The brakes could be a bit stronger, but this is simply a personal preference as they have plenty of power to control the vehicle, even when coming down from high freeway speeds. It is comfortable to take on a long road trip and it is more than competent for running around town. The layout of the interior is pretty much the way i would have laid it out if I had designed it myself. Everything is right where you want it to be. That being said, I have a complaint. the rubber that is used to seal the third brake light assembly and the trunk release button are completely dry rotted and the car is only 3.5 years old. Why was the choice made to use inferior rubber that perishes in such a short amount of time. I had a 2003 S430 prior to this Genesis and it had no issues with any of its trim, in spite of being 16 years old and that is what people expect from a luxury vehicle. As of this writing I do not know if they plan to replace that for me or if they are going to make me eat the cost. My overall opinion will be dramatically affected by the answer.

Love, Love, Love This Car!!!

I love the elegance and sleek body lines this car has. The sound of closing the door testifies to the superb build quality. While the Genesis is a heavy car, it handles very well with minimal roll and sway and provides just the right amount of feedback to the steering wheel. The 5.0 Liter 8 cylinder engine provides impressive acceleration with a deep throat-ed growl that will make you smile. The 8 speed transmission shifts so smoothly under normal driving conditions that you won't even notice it. I'm truly amazed at the amount of technology included in the base model, in fact the Ultimate version only has a few extra items not included in the base model. The tech package alone sets this vehicle way above others at the same price point. The technology is also largely responsible for the 5 star plus crash ratings this car received from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Lane keeping technology is truly amazing, look for a video online called "The Empty Car Convoy" to see it for yourself.

Sexy car

The Genesis is the perfect blend of luxury and sport. I shopped around looking at several different models and could not find any that gave me the all the features the genesis have for the value. Very proud of my choice.

I will probably always have one as long as there is another dealership close to my home other than North Charleston SC The car is amazing but go elsewhere if North Charleston dealer is the only choice

Hands down the best car I ever had.

I have to start off with such a bold statement because it's true. This car has no business being this great, but it is. I love the ride quality, it's interior comfort, and it's tech features. I chose the Genesis over a BMW I saw for the same price, but with less features. I have recommended this vehicle time and time again, with no regret.

Most comfortable vehicle I have driven

I come from a long line of Lexus vehicles. The Genesis G80 platform simply outperforms them all, in terms of both comfort and technology. The seats are suitably sporty but somehow still as comfortable as an LS460 on long trips. The suspension system glides over most poor surfaces in Normal mode yet gets stiffer than any Lexus option in Sport mode. There's plenty of power to go around and unlike Lexus, Genesis gives it all to you whenever you want it (some exclusions apply to traction control). The interior noise level is on par with $150,000 Mercedes superlux vehicles. Driver assistance features are phenomenal, such as smart cruise control, very capable lane keep assist, navigation system is on point and Bluelink adds useful driver services to a single button. The audio system won't offend any audiophiles and can appease the most ham-handed listeners too.

Hyundai Genesis (2015)

I absolutely LOVE my Hyundai Genesis! We bought it about 3 years ago and it has been a great car to date. I love the style, the comfort, all the features, the trunk size, and the gas mileage on the highway is fantastic (28-30 mpg). I call it my "spy car," because it has such fun features (the sun/moon roof; the fold-in mirrors, the rear window shade, the word "Genesis" reflected on the ground at night, etc.). People constantly stop me to ask what kind of car I'm driving. It's as well-appointed at the Toyota Avalon and other similar sedans.

The best review I can give is this is my 2nd Genesis. I bought my first when Genesis came to market in 2009 and now own a 2015. Will be buying the G80 or 90 soon. LOVE the car and will be purchasing the 2020 !!!

Great car

Second Genesis we have owned. Better than the Equus it replaced for far less money. Being a luxury car, the Hyundai people make the same mistake as the other luxury car manufactures make by installing low profile tires. The Genesis 45 series tires do not have enough side wall height or air volume to give a luxury ride. My Equinox, which is a much lighter vehicle than the Genesis has a smoother ride as it has 65 series tires that have more air volume for better cushioning.

Fantastic car

Love this car. Just wish the service for it was at its own dealership and not at the Hyundai dealership. Owners of the Genesis spend a whole lot more money to buy this car over the Hyundai and deserve to have their own service advisor and service area for Genesis owners.

Best overall car I ever owned. Compared to Cadillac, Infiniti, Lincoln this vehicle is on the top of my list The biggest disappointment is that the dealers do not supply a courtesy vechile as other luxury manufacturers do while the car is being serviced. Especially so when it is a warranty issue.

Genesis

2015 Genesis is the first year of their redesign. Quiet comfortable cabin. 3.8 liter engine with RWD has plenty of power. The only problem I had was the driver side door had to be adjusted but still not as smooth to close as I expected. Had several minor recalls. They even swap the tires with new Michilins! Almost five years and only one repair to the lane keeping assist.
