At the 2 year mark, quite pleased with my choice!
I have the '16 Genesis 3.6L AWD. I had test driven the previous generation designs and was not quite buying it, but when I drove this one the first thing that wowed me was the handling. For a long wheelbase, big sedan the handling is very, very good. I don't think this is mentioned that much. There is no dive, squat, it barely moves around corners. The ride compromise is excellent. The design work on the suspension in cooperation with Lotus really shows up. Can't say enough about that. Down the highway at 80 mph, it is amazingly quiet. Some real engineering went into that. This car is comfortable. Nice big comfortable seats front and rear. It has a good size trunk for my golf clubs. And I like the way the dash/controls are laid out. It's simple, yet elegant, not fussy. I like having a transmission gear selector you grab and pull without looking at it, not some silly mouse knob. That's for weenies. And BTW, the 8 speed transmission is excellent. Smooth, no hunting, kicks down without any hesitation. Living in the Northeast I appreciate the three level seat heater and the heated steering wheel. Another thing I like is having a mute button for the radio on the steering wheel. Cool!
