To all the dedicated Engineers, Toolmakers , Machinists, Draftsman, and Visionaries, who made my dream a reality!
My name is Gary and I was a machinist and worked in the original Thomas A. Edison building 10, Schenectady New York when it was called the Automated Equipment and Development Division, late 1970's early1980's.
In building 10 were Draftsman ,Engineers, Designers,Toolmakers Machinists, all in one building. Research and development was a very rewarding and demanding job intellectually.
One of the most interesting endeavors, which there were many, was the engineering of the G.E. electric Auto which now is displayed at the Schenectady Museum.
Through the years I have watched for an auto that could excite me and my wife enough to make the move from gasoline to electric. Tesla was not doing it for us!
Ioniq 5 Limited, A truly extraordinary work of art, function, and hopefully reliability.
