Hyundai Ioniq

I have owned my Ioniq for just over 1 year and am as pleased with it as the the day I purchased it. Mileage and performance are excellent and actually exceed posted mileage ratings. I do a combination of high speed expressway and local driving. Pick-up speed is good and can be enhance with by using the Sport mode. Cargo space is almost that of my Tuscan SUV. Overall a great value and stylish to boot!

Unbelievable how happy I am I tried the Ionic

I don’t have to plug it in! It takes care of itself! I drive about 600 miles a month and I average 8 gallons per month! Unbelievable!! That means I am saving about $100 per month off my lease payment so ask what your lease payment will be and subtract $100 from that to get the REAL MONTHLY COST !!

could not be happier

This is our only car. Some days used as a truck ( no difference in handling when loaded) great back seat room. averages over 10 mpg more then compared to my previous Prius. Has a lot more power then the Prius and far more comfortable

Ioniq, Fantastic!!!

This car is amazing. Most importantly I love the miles per gallon,being anywhere from 63, to 67 miles per gallon!!!!!!!!!!! Its very quiet also, which is awesome. Will never buy another car, except this on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet ride, hatchback bar and rear-view mirror...

It’s the perfect size for me and whatever I need to haul to and from home. I absolutely love how much gas I’m saving with this hybrid. It’s keepig me mindful of how I’m driving so I won’t waste so much gas. Driving at the pace of an old person ain’t so bad. My personal preference would be that the hatchback bar be replaced with impact windows or something clear so I can see everything in back of me. Also wish the range of motion of my rear-view mirror were better so I can adjust it upwards. Or maybe I should just lower my seat.

Niqi and I have fun together! The great gas mileage enables this little old lady to go, granny go.

We've been together for a year now. Niqi is better than the day she came into my life. The flexibility of the interior space is astounding! You can safely carry even 8' boards inside of her! Fold the back seats down and angle slightly toward the passenger seat between the consol. Yes, I know its not something you plan on, but sometimes life requires more from you and your car. She is much peppier than I believed a hybrid could be and the gas mileage really is that good. We will be best friends for many years to come.

Great car, great gas mileage, very comfortable

Great car, great gas mileage, very comfortable, smart cruise control is awsome, you can fit a lot of cargo or a family of 5 comfortably. I can drive a over 600 Miles on a single tank of gas. Apple car play is awsome!

Great car

I am getting up to 64mpg when travelling on flat roads at 60-65mph. During normal city/highway driving I average 53-58mpg. The car tracks very well at highway speeds and the backup camera, heated seats, android phone connection plus lane change warning are great features. Seats are comfortable for 4hr drives. Shifting from electric to gas and reverse is barely noticeable. The stock tires "sing" a bit on certain concrete hiways and there is more than average road noise at 60+mph.

Love My Ionic

Wanted a vehicle with good gas mileage and have always been intrigued with the hybrids. This car gives me more than 47mpg in the city and just returned from a road trip of about 600 miles and averaged 52mpg! Not only that, the body style is gorgeous and doesn't look like a hatchback. Can't believe the luggage space...much larger than any other hatchback I've ever owned. Overall, we're leasing this vehicle and after the lease is up, we're going back into another Ionic!

Excellent mileage but intermittent problems when the weather is hot.

One of the few hybrids that does not have a CVT transmission. Drives better IMHO, than a Prius. Has returned upwards of 65 mpg on long highway trips averaging 70 mph. Typically can easily average 55 mpg in mixed conditions. What has let this car down is the intermittent problem of the hybrid system not starting when temps are hotter than 90-95 degrees F. The car will drive on the gas engine alone, but there is no power to ANY electrical system—no turn signals, no lights, would not recommend driving on the street if the hybrid system is not fully powered up. Once cooled, car powers up as normal. So far, 4 instances in 14,000 miles with the dealer unable duplicate the problem, nor any known fix.

Very Pleased

We have had our Ioniq for 14 months and have been very pleased. It is comfortable and quiet. The storage space is considerable for the size of the car. And the gas mileage is wonderful! We have the model in the middle (not basic, and not top-of-the-line) and it has the primary safety features that are helpful, along with the main creature comforts that we wanted. There are a few things we would like to see improved, but they aren't so bad that they would keep us from buying this car if we had it to do all over again: It took us a little while to get used to the vision out of the rear windows, but not seeing the top half of the vehicles behind us really hasn't caused a problem. There is a bit of a glare (from reflection of the top of the dash board) through the windshield and driver's window on sunny days. Gas mileage does seem to be influenced quite a bit by wind, temperature, and weight of the load, but our lowest tank average was 45 mpg; it is usually closer to 53 mpg, but has been even higher. We've also had a few chips in the paint and wonder if other types of paint/coatings would have chipped as easily. Our Ioniq has now traveled over 20,000 miles and we would recommend this car to others who are considering the purchase of a hybrid car.

A Great Vehicle for Field Service Workers

I don't know where to start. The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid is a very fuel-efficient vehicle with great styling and handling. I work in the field and went from $300 monthly fuel cost to $106 monthly, what a great savings! Not a recommendation, but I went 20,000 miles without the oil light even coming on!

Love my Ionic

I totally love my ionic I get great gas mileage! The car is appointed very well. He drives like a sports car! I do a lot of highway miles so I’m averaging about 48 miles to the gallon if I use cruise control by average almost 50. Did you get much better gas mileage driving to the city type situation . I love my car but I have not been happy with the service department at my Kennesaw Hyundai dealer.

A delight to drive

Whether on long trips or short ones we have found the Ioniq to be an excellent choice. Around the city it easily achieves 53 to 58 miles per gallon of gas. While crossing the state of Idaho non-stop at the legal speed of 80 miles per hour, the Ioniq maintained 48 miles per gallon. The 12 gallon fuel tank gives us a driving range of over 600 miles. The audio system allows us to play audio books or music from our phone, iPad, or USB drive in addition to the standard radios. For navigation we just plug in our cell phone and we can use the Google maps app on our dashboard screen. I wish that most people were driving this kind of car. Our smog problems would be greatly reduced. In stop-and-go traffic I can go miles without using a drop of gasoline.

First Hybrid/Hyundai Car

2017 Hyundai Ioniq My favorite aspect of this car is the hybrid/gas - saving features!!! I almost didn't purchase it because of the rear window ----- & after over 7 months of driving this 2017 Ioniq, I STILL don't like the rear window!!!! I appreciate the ergonomics of efficiency incorporated into the car design. Nevertheless, it cuts into (or rather cuts out) visibility! My other challenge are the lights: I find that I need to rely on using bright lights to compensate for less than optimal brightness for me @ nighttime. These are my 2 main concerns that I would like the engineers to address. This car has less pickup power compared to my Subarus. Nevertheless, the hybrid benefits trump my former delights.

Ionq

The overall quality is good.the car handles well and is comfortable. I like the size. The Santa Fe was too big for me. Switching from hybrid to gas engine and back can be rough, hesitant. Road noise is more then I expected.

Runs like a dream

Vehicle is sleek, and is a nice, quiet, comfortable ride. My average MPG is about 55 in the summer and about 35 in the winter. Mileage takes a steeper decline when driven at temperatures below 0 Fahrenheit. Vehicle has a decent amount of interior apace, excellent speakers, the ability to connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I got the base model. I do wish I’d paid a little more for heated seats, the contact charging station and the extra fisheye mirror on the right hand mirror.

Reliability and great mileage coupled with good looks make this car a smart buy. You'll be smiling every time you go to the gas pumps which is not as often as most people because you get over six hundred miles driving range with every fill-up.

Amazing mileage

We've driven about 3,500 miles, much of that in short trips around town. Amazingly, our average mileage seems to be around 55, based on the car's computer. And I think it must be acurate, because barely have filled the tank more than five or six times. On top of that, it handles great, is fun to drive, and has great features. I highly recommend this car to anyone who cares about good gas mileage -- and everyone should.

Marvelous mileage

I am really satisfied with the choice I made in purchasing a hybrid car from Hyundai. The miles per gallon are amazing and have me looking forward to road trips!
