Great SUV for families
Overall I'm very happy with our 2022 Palisade! We were originally in the market for a new Telluride, but due to the lack of availability and the long lead times for delivery, we started to look at the Palisade. I am very happy we did because the Palisade is definitely the better value between the two. Though I prefer the exterior styling of the Telluride, the interior luxury, all-digital gauge cluster, and cargo room in the Palisade won us over very quickly and we never looked back. We took delivery within two weeks and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. The car has been perfect so far and it makes long roadtrips very easy and fun. Having said all this, there is room for improvement:
1. No power-folding mirrors
2. No wireless Apple CarPlay available on the higher-end trims - I was told this was due to interference with the GPS system. I'll take CarPlay over the OEM nav system any day of the week
3. No HUD integration with Apple CarPlay - the HUD is one of the most useful safety features in the car and Hyundai can do so much more with it. Having your maps (stock, Apple, Google, Waze, etc.) would be very helpful and set it apart from other manufacturers.
Aside from the car, I was very disappointed about the "market-adjustment" added to the price of this car. Hyundai prices their cars very fairly and I would have been more than happy to pay sticker price, but leave it to car dealerships to be the greediest people on the planet. Though the adjustment wasn't as severe as other dealerships, it was still hard to swallow. Even though the car itself if amazing, I will likely be looking elsewhere for my next vehicle until this nonsense ends. Hyundai (and other manufacturers) should follow Ford's lead and start to sell to customers directly. Cut the useless middlemen out - your customers will thank you.
