Solid if not exceptional
The 2014 Sante Fe Sport does everything well if not outstanding. It is a very comfortable vehicle with a basically stable drive and in my experience decent reliability and consistency.
It is not a sports car, a work horse, an off-road animal, but a good all around daily driver that offers outstanding acceleration in the 2.0T configuration (for an SUV), very high degree of comfort and convenience for the price, and a good looking design and style.
Hyundai provides a great value and a product well above average in many respects.
The navigation is the weak point if I had to really find one. Their in house mapping company leaves a huge amount to be improved, the updates are overly pricey and not very complete or thorough and their service is awful. You are far better off with Google Maps or Waze, if admittedly less convenient than built in.
The Bluelink feature is also nice, but overpriced for what it is - and does not stay very up to date.
So I would say on the hardware and mechanical side, Hyundai is up there with the top of the class now, on the software side, they have a lot of room for improvement.
But this vehicle is better than comparably aged CRV's, less expensive and more comfortable than RAV-4's and way ahead of the US brand competition - but the HyundaiSanta Fe is made in Georgia, so don't think you aren't helping the US economy by buying it!!
