First time Hyundai owner and exceptionally happy

This is my first Hyundai and I test drove three different models before I chose the Sante Fe Sport. I also cross shopped the Honda CRV, Toyota Rav 4, Buick Encore, and a couple of other mid to small SUVs. In the end it was the features for the money, reliability ratings, extended warranty as standard (did not have to purchase extra), and overall driving experience. I felt the Hyundai was maybe a point or two less than the Toyota and I felt it was better than the others. However, it won me over because of the tight handling and essentially worry free ownership experience since I have almost 30k miles of warranty left on it. I don’t feel as if the Toyota was 3-4K more of my hard earned money than the Hyundai. So in the end I took the Hyundai home and it has exceeded my expectations. I have driven over 1k miles in my two weeks of ownership and have averaged about 25-26mpg of equal hwy and city driving in Houston to include rush hour. Great car with good driving dynamics, Noise control, and MPG for the money. Super happy with my purchase of my used Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Santa Fe sport

Great riding vehicle. Good value for the money. Very reliable & a lot of necessary features. Cost of maintenance is very little- just regular oil changes every 3750 miles. Takes the bumps very well and does not ride like a typical truck ; instead it rides much more comfortable (smooth) compared to similar suvs in the same class

Great car

This is my first Hyundai, a 2017 Santa Fe Sport (Turbo), and I'm very impressed with it. Love the smooth ride, its peppy turbo engine, the car's design. I use the back cargo space frequently, to carry my bicycle, and to bring home groceries, occasionally some furniture and other large, heavy items. I also drive the car to and from our two residences twice a year -- the trip nearly 1,200 miles.

2017 Santa Fe Sport

Love my car! Not one problem! From now on I will only drive a four wheel drive suv! Sitting up high reall gives you a better view of the road! Living in Chicago all my life, i dreaded driving in the winter. Now, I feel confident I can get through almost any situation!

Second time in one year same problem...

The front pasanger site was filled with the aircondition water for the second time this year making the front site like a puddle and not so comfordable for the front pasanger,having a smell ...not so happy with the vehicle...After the technicians took care of the problem I'm hoping that will not happen again because if it does than I'll sell both my Huyndais the Santa Fe and my 2018 Tukson and buy a different car brand...

Reliability and comfort

We have used this Santa Fe for three years without repairs. The only work done was for normal usage or preventive maintenance. The vehicle is comfortable except it needs to allow more leg room in the front and rear. It is noted that I am taller than many people. I really like the turbo for extra power and the tech package for extra safety.

Hyundai Rocks

I went from a Saturn Vue that I loves so it was hard to change vehicles when they went out of business. I had many criteria for the new vehicle and Hyundai was the ONLY one that met my specifications. The salesman Jason Dunlap was exceptional! allover a great choice and experience.

Passenger seat

Overall I feel the Santa Fe is a great vehicle, I have had several ( bought new in 2004, leased in 2014 and bought new in 2017). My only wish is that the passenger side front seat had a height adjustment to it. I am frequently in that seat and find it too low. I tried using a cushion to sit higher but that disables the air bag.

Great car all around

This Santa Fe Sport has stepped up time and time again in its comfortable options on long road trips to the local ski resorts with no problems as we passed other vehicles many times having problems in the snow. Compliments and wow's are very common with passengers and other drivers, I've been asked many times now what is your car? The extra's have been spoiling me ever since we started driving!

Great Medium SUV

I needed to replace an aging Ford Explorer with an SUV that 1) could pull my boat; and 2) be comfortable to drive every day. This Santa Fe Sport 2.0 T is about everything I could have hoped for: not too big, plenty of power, comfortable to drive in town or on the highway, great warranty, and easy on the pocketbook. I was at first disappointed in the mileage, as I was driving in the winter in Minnesota, but when warmer weather came and I drove more on highways, the mileage increased to acceptable, if not great.

Great with few flaws!

I like the car with the exception of the rims which began peeling early on and Hyundai would not warranty. The bumper to bumper warranty doesn’t include the rims. So don’t get the nice painted rims - They peel. After three years mine look terrible! The car also sometimes stalls when turning at higher rates of speed. Only two issues I have had. Overall a good car.

Great vehicle

We have enjoyed the performance and ride and reliability of our Santa Fe. We are happy with the gas mileage, sometime wish it had a larger fuel tank. Never ran out of power going up the mountains on our trip to Arizona. We would purchase another Santa Fe.

I love the way this vehicle handles. I had a 2010 Santa Fe and upgraded. I couldn't be happier!? The ride is so smooth. You could easily forget that there's a motor in this SUV! Hey... very reliable and great on gas.

Love My 20127 Santa Fe!

I consider myself a "car guy." I started working on cars at 15 and now am 77. Still get three car magazines; wife says still a kid when it comes to cars. I think I'm a "picky" buyer. Some friends say I'm a "value" shopper. I purchased my 2017 Santa Fe Sport with 2.4 engine in May of 2016. It now has 27k miles. Is FWD so a little better mileage than AWD. Average "around town" runs 22-26 mpg depending on route, traffic, etc. Highway mileage from 27-31 mpg depending on speed, terrain, weather. The car has been faultless. Comfortable, quiet (for an SUV) and fun to drive. I still mentally compare with other similar vehicles I see when out and about, and still think I made the best possible choice. If you like "bells and whistles" as I do, then carefully check out Hyundai vs. competition. You'll be surprised to find things not on more expensive vehicles.

Nice long range travel car

We enjoy the comfort of our Santa Fe Sport. We take about 6 trips a year of about 1000 miles round trip to see family. The road from California to Arizona is long and mostly flat only a few inclines . This car is very easy to drive for long periods of time. The lumbar support is grate along with the heated seats if have issues with siting for a long time. My wife likes that she can control the temp on her side. The pull up shades on the rear passenger doors helps with privacy and keeping things cooler. We did tint the front windows for comfort from the sun. Key less entree and push to start is very nice. The gas millage is around 30 mpg on the road with an average of 70 to 75 mph. The lane detection system is nice although it dose not work at lower speeds, takes some getting used to.The car dose have a little wind noise from the front doors at higher speeds.This car is easy to drive around town and parking is very easy also.

Santa fe

I love Hyundai Santa fe's. Drove one 15 years ago. Now I'm driving one again. Best choice ever! They look nice, drive nice and have more standard amenities than some cars. It is also a good value car.

I love the comfort and roominess. Has a great ride. Plenty of room for traveling. Have gotten great gas mileage. Love the safety and convenience of the bluetooth, screen for maps, Sirius radio. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone. Well worth my hard earned money.
