2006 Sonata

maybe old, needs a few repairs and a nice coat of paint, but she is dependable. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the newer vehicles. A very smooth ride with great steering and control. I am proud of it. And it is paid for.

Great vehicle

Been a great vehicle very little service other than oil and tires. Over 140,000 miles. We bought new. Handles nice, runs smooth, economical to drive and comfortable enough for longer driving. Would look at buying another if We ever decide to get a new car.

Reliable and Comfortable

Was purchased brand new. It still has great get up and go. It doesn't mater what time of year, I have to watch my take offs, as it will break my tires loose. I still get 19 to 20 miles in town and 32 to 35 on the road.

A great car.

Very reliable and economic to drive. Very comfortable and a makes you feel good. Always runs as good as the day I purchased it. Just normal maintenance is all that's required to keep this car one of the best.

Basic but reliable

Reliable car but no "bells and whistles". I know since my car 2006, Hyundai has come out with a much better upgraded version. The upgraded version is the basic version now, lol. Live and learn I guess!

Couldn't be more pleased

My Sonata is 12 years old...true, it has very low mileage but it is honestly one of the BEST vehicles I've ever owned...Even 12 years later I still love the way it looks and performs! I just may keep it another 12 years!

Time to move on

12 years and never a major problem. Great car. I truly enjoyed my car from the time I drove off the dealer lot. It got me many places and it was economical and I got my money's worth from it. Not too many can say that after all these years

Best Car I've Ever Owned

I purchased by Sonata new in 2006 and with the exception of service due to mileage and recalls, I have never had any problems with the vehicle and have never been stranded along the roadside. It has been the most reliable car I have ever owned, and will continue to own it for many more years to come. I can't say enough good things about my Sonata.

I like my 2006 Sonata better. The new models have too many gadgets, gizmos, and electronic shenanigans to distract from the serious business of driving. This puts me in a position where I would have to pay for a lot of things I do not want, will not use, and will regret having to maintain when they misfire.

Great Car

My Sonata might be "old" but because of its great engine it runs like it's brand new. Hyundai should have stayed with the large engine for the Sonata. The vehicle handles well in the city and on the open road. It gets great gas mileage and has enough room for passengers. The only negative things are the rusting of the vehicle and the headlight plastic has needed work in year 4.

2006 Hyundai Sonata

My 2006 Hyundai Sonata was the best car that I have ever owned, that is why I decided to purchase yet another Hyundai. My old Sonata required very little maintainance and was always very dependable.When I traded it in on my new Veloster I was sorry to see it go. I would recommend that particular year Sonata to anyone looking for a used car.

Excellent service and warranty

Decided on this car in 2004 when I was given one as a rental - loved it then and even more so now- very FEW problems - was able to get road side service as a result of a flat in the middle of no where GREAT!

Excellent cars

Hyundai sonata are very reliable cars . looks great and lastes a lifetime if maintained properly. I would recommend this car to anyone. This car is equipped with Dual front & front side impact airbags. Front seat active head resstraints. 4 wheel disc brakes w/ anti lock breaking system.. Cruise control. Power windows.... Tilt sterring wheel. Power door locks. Trip computer... Fog lights.....alloyed wheels.......anti lock breaks.....

Has always been the most reliable car.

This was my car until 7/2016, when I got myself the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid . At that time this became my daughter's car for college. I love my Hybrid so much, except for the sound system. I live in Ramona and the reception for most stations is bad. The 2006 had much better reception as have the Hyundai rentals I have had than this Hybrid, has. But, back to the 2006.

The best car I ever bought. I love this car, have had it for 12 years. Would definitely buy another Hyundai for the reliability factor alone. The price was lower than other car brands with the same options and Hyundai has a longer warranty.

Wifes all time favorite car

We purchased this car in 2006 and have had no serious issues. Getting up to 200000 miles almost time to think about getting a new Sonata. Thinking about Going with a hybrid for the next car maybe go with the ionic.
