This Family Sedan That Some Swear Is A Fancy Profiling Race Car Because They Are Unrealistic and Not Honest With Themselves Is Still Pretty Decent
For the cost of this vehicle, it is great. I own a 2011 Hyundai Sonata; bought in 2010. I will not get deep into specs as there have already been 8 years worth of newer models since. I used to drive the living crap out of this car, safely of course. I have now have decided that I want it to last longer so I drive less crap out of it and put more crap into it...which has so far, been completely worth it. I never gave this car a name, but uhhh, I guess, now if not ever, "she," (because now, it is a she) has treated me well.I'd likely buy another one when she dies on me...or resurrect her and put her into rehab. Sometimes I wonder if I should go drive this ride through a cross country running trial to keep it in shape. Some general qualitative information:
Comfort.
Cons. My a/c and heat seem to have have little variability. Although there is a knob, I feel like turning it to the first minimal a/c setting with lowest fan speed as well, still shoots icicles into the cabin. Not necessarily a bad thing but mayyyn.
Pros. highly comfortable. Seats adjust very far, vehicle has a large interior space to be a "mid-sized sedan." I am 6'2 in height.
Maintenance.
Cons. Some parts may have been too cheap and made by different manufacturers; degrades performance.
Pros. Easy, low, affordable.
Recalls.
Cons. There were sooooo many.
Pros. I did not pay for any of them.
Steering.
Cons. Very sensitive.
Pros. Very easy, responsive, high turning radius.
Mileage.
Cons. I dod not get 100 mpg, which is possible with today's technology hahaha.
Pros. Very good on gas, Istill get about 30-35 mpg on the highway with over 150k miles on this ride.
Weight.
Cons. The vehicle may be so light that the air flow from other cars, not even just trucks, can push your vehicle.
Pros. The vehicle is light enough that handling is positively affected, easier..
Suspension.
Cons. Sits very low. Some may love this, but others may hate it. Depends where you drive. However, this does have positive fluid dynamic effects.
Pros. The suspension is balanced very well. This also affects braking and steering extremely well.
