Hyundai and there Mechanic and they keep a job
I have 3 cars & I don't drive the same one ever day. On my sonata I bought it from the Hyundai dealership in the mall of Georgia. If there were any problems I would drive from Decatur to get it fix. I have never let anyone under my sonata unless I was getting tires. Now I go to the Hyundai dealer in Lithonia (Stone Crest Mall). I've had a recall on the engine and didn't fine out until it stop on me. I had to be towed in to Hyundai in Lithonia. Now here it is almost a year later (and car is paid off), I needed a oil chang and a few days ago i heard a loud pop when I was just about to take off from a light.so 2day b4 I had the oil changed, I had the emissions done (and it passed and driving well). I went to Hyundai in Lithonia ask about the popI heard under the car. I'm sitting almost 2 in a half hours to find out that on the test run the mechanic says the break indicator light came on. Now I've never seen that Indicator light on my car and come out needing a break booter. I drove it in with no breaks lights on and no break problems. Hunter gave me rental. A week later that oil change coast me over $730. We shared the cost of the broken front window that was cracked from when my car was there for the engine recall. so out the door was over $950. When it came too drive the car home all it would do was jerk,so it didn't make it but across the street (the mall) and had to turn around. Now for the 2nd time ever I see this check engine light on. I turned around and took it back to Mr.Hunter and he asked the mechanic that work on my car to check the codes. Now it needed a map quest sensos. Hunter put on no charge. I had to wait about an hour, but Hunter got it done. The mechanics didn't test drive my at all because it took me to get it almost home b4 the jerking stop. But right before I get on 285hwy my tire indicator come on. Now I'm really mad because these are NEW TIERS!!! I just parked the car in my driveway and drove my 2000 Toyata pre runner that's never ever given me one day of probles and it was 3 years old when I got it. My 2011 Sonata was less then a year old when I bought it. So the next day I go and put air in my tire(front passenger side) and it's not holding over night And for the 3rd time I seeing this check engineIndicator. I stop at a auto zone and I now have 3 new codes a P2501-Generator Lap P0420 Catalytic converter and P0711-Transmission Fluid. Now here it is Tuesday and I just picked up my carup last Friday paying over $930. For the only probles I bought it in for was the loud sound witch was a bolt that was fix for no charge, a oil change and filter no charge, and the front window at about $250. Now here I am again Hyundai dealership in Lithonia telling me that theses 3 codes that was not there less then 10 days ago when I did the emissions, nor did I have any break indicator because I bought it in with new tires and new breaks. I now have to pay$1,900.00 for a Catalytic converter, my passenger side door switch is broken another$253.00.... Now that extended warranty didn't cover the 3 codes. When I bought the car from MallofGeorgia that, the owner did a voluntary repossession and only had the car 6mos. But Mr. Hunter at Stone Crest Mall says that the Catalytic converter is not the original parts. So now I'm thinking what happened. No one but Hyundai Dealership mechanic have ever work on my car. My total for a oil change and loud sound cost me over $3,000.00 in 10 days. I will never buy another Hyundai anything again. And I will make sure other 4 in my family don't either. I will go back to my Toyata's. Having to take out a loan on a car I just paid off. I should have known something was wrong because when I was in the waiting room each time I was there, all of us was there for the same problems.muffler, breaks, and Catalytic converter.
