Top-notch sporty performance, durable engine and drive train, low-maintenance, and a good value.
The Hyundai Sonata was priced right for my budget when I purchased it in 2011. I had the chance to test drive it, and was very impressed with the power of the engine, the ease of operation, and the comfort. I have driven the car heavily for the last six years, and its performance has always exceeded my expectations for power, pickup, safety, and easy of navigation.
If i were to point out a negative, it would be that all the money went into the performance of the vehicle. The upholstery and carpeting was lower in terms of quality, comfort,and durability. It's an adequately comfortable car, but the interior amenities are far lower than what I have seen in the competitors' vehicles in the category. None of these deficiencies were apparent during the test drive. Rather, I noticed the lower quality slowly over time, and I wish I had noticed these things during the test drive.
On the whole, I'm very happy with the value I got for my hard earned money spent on this vehicle, especially in terms of the drive train, safety, and performance. But the lower value in the furnishings, upholstery, amenities, sound system, and comfort of the interior's design have been disappointing.
