Greatest Car I have ever owned. Bought my first car in 1950. I have owned Plymouths, 1950 to 1967, Chryslers from 1967 to 1997, Hyundais 1997 till now, 2018. Have had this 2012 Hyundai Sonata for 6 years. NO PROBLEMS. Love this car. I am 87 years old. Plan to drive this car till I Die. Thank You---John J. SaNGER

Great car

We bought our hybrid new and have enjoyed the car. It rides well but the front passenger seat is lower than the driver's seat so a little harder to get out. Our mileage on trips is usually about 36 to 39 mpg and around town, the mpg is about 26 to 28. The car has many features we have enjoyed, such as heated seats both front and rear, heat and air vents front and rear. We have received many compliments on the styling. We like Hyundai's warranty and the lifetime warranty on the hybrid battery.

Satisfied

I am very pleased with my Sonata ! Comfortable to ride in, excellent gas mileage, very attractive to look at . It runs as good as new. Never have a minutes trouble very dependable. Proud to take my family and friends with me in my Sonya.

My 2012 Hyundai Sonata

I purchased my 2012 Hyundai Sonata SE new in December of 2011. It has been a great car that handles well and performs great with the 2.0L Turbo. I wish that the new Sonatas had the horsepower that mine does!

Great Car!!!!!

Very satisfied with the service. They fixed all the recalls and did the service in great time. The gas mileage was down so they did the 60,000 mile service which fixed the problem. They fixed a gromet in the steering wheel that wore out. I love my Sonata and have been bringing it back to this dealer which I bought it from. Also the facility is clean as I have ever seen a service dept. Friendly people and I would buy from them again. Diana H.

My Hyundai

My first ever Hyundai auto purchase was on May 2004, an XG350L at Fitzgeralds Clearwater. After driving it for eight years, I passed it on to my niece (she still is driving it) only because I thought it was time for a "new" car. Without hesitation, went back to Fitzgeralds and purchased my Hyundai Sonata in Feb. 2012 and am still driving it. Over the many years of buying new cars, (I've had several - over my 83 yrs.) I've always seemed to buy a different auto maker. After buying my Hyundai XG350L I was hooked and wouldn't think of getting anything else. Though I don't drive excessive miles and have always had both properly serviced (at Fitzgeralds) I have never had any problems with either one. I have recommend the Hyundai auto to my family and friends (sister purchased her 2nd one, passed her cars to her daughters). Besides being a very dependable auto, it is very comfortable, easy to handle, and gets good gas mileage considering I do only city driving. I think the new color at the time (Blue Indigo)) also sold me!! Since my current car is over 6 years old, maybe it's time for a new one? It will be another Hyundai for sure.

Great style and performance has served my needs over 6 years. Excellant handling; great gas milage with very quiet ride. Excellent warranty.

My 2012 Sonata has performed well beyond my expectations, since buying it new over 6 years ago. It handles better than any car that I've ever owned. Steering and acceleration are the strongest features and breaking distance is very good. The stylish design has held up all this time, looking as good today as it did the day I bought it. The gas mileage is still 25 / 34 and is a very quiet ride. I've only had to keep up basic maintenance with only minor repairs. The biggest expense has been to replace the tires after almost 70,000 miles. The service experience has been excellent. Suggested maintenance is clearly communicated, with the emphasis on taking care of the things that need immediate attention. Pricing for service needs is fair for both parts and labor. I recommend that anyone in the market for a new car, consider Hyundai before deciding.

Great car

I’ve had my Sonata Hybrid for 5 years and still find it a great car. It’s comfortable, quiet and totally reliable. I’ve done regular service and have had not a single problem. Everyone who rides in it asked what kind of car it is and remarks on the luxurious interior and the comfortable ride. I recommend it highly.

2012 Hyundai Sonata

The 2012 sonata has been a disaster ! The headlight burns outs every 3000 miles . I have had to change it quicker than an oil change . Also , the gas gauge does not work ! Gas attendants at Costco recognize this defects too . They have to keep pumping gas for Hyundai customers as a defect and inconvenience. Hyundai’s sucks because of this safety issue . It cost about $400 to fix this issue .

Love my Sonata!

I enjoy driving my 2012 Sonata. I bought it used and have been very pleased with the features. We use it for traveling and just running around town. My only con would be I don't have a GPS. That is a feature we have in our other car but we put a hitch on the Sonata so we can take our bikes. It drives very well and has a large trunk that is great for long trips.

Tough Cars

I have two Sonatas, a 2012 Limited and a 2014 Sport. Both have proven tough little cars, fun to drive and inexpensive to own and operate. The few times we have had to service these cars we have found the dealership competent and experienced. Hyundai covers a lot in there basic warranty and extends the warranty to cover things that they realize need improvement. This means that we have had very minimal extra expense with our Sonatas. What I like the most about my Sonata is that the trunk is large enough to accommodate my golf bag and golf cart. Moreover, on the rare occasions when I have transported long things like 2x4's for home projects, the back seats fold forward allowing enough room to carry a lot of boards. I recently purchase five piece patio set at a home improvement store and it was packed in a huge box. by unpacking the box I managed to pack the entire set inside the Sonata including 10 pillows, 2 chairs, a love seat and a table. I like to camp, but I don't want to drive a minivan or a station wagon. The Sonata has enough room inside for my camping gear too. Great size, great cars.

Excellent

Pretty good car for the price, I didn’t like all of the defective parts for multiple recalls. I think that hurts the consumer confidence in the product but overall I think the car is pretty good for the money

I love my Hyundai Sonata Tubo.

It handles very well on country roads, highways as well as in town. Great passing momentum. Feels very rounded to the ground on corners. Also a great travel car for road trips. The GPS could be more easily and efficiently updated in my opinion. Great trunk space and I love the back set fold down option for transporting larger cargo. Thanks

DONT BUY

I have had nothing but issues since purchasing this vehicle. I even had to replace the motor at 80000 miles. It lost it's value super fast and needs service more than the car is worth.I will definitely not be put having another Hyuandai I'm the future.

Good basic vehicle, would NOT buy navigation system again.

Hyundai 2.0T Limited is a good basic vehicle, however I would not pay the extra money for the navigation system again. I have a $350 Garmin with lifetime maps that is more accurate and LEARNS! After I drive a shorter route three times with the Garmin the Garmin remembers the shorter route. The Hyundai system does not learn!! Maybe it does not have all the local roads in its map inventory! There is so much that Hyundai could do to make the owner experience much more pleasurable. E.G.: Update fixed recalls in its system rather than sending reminders for many months after the work has been done; allowing the owner to update the vehicle mileage on-line so appropriate maintenance reminders are sent; up loading dealership performed maintenance directly to your VIN on-line to prevent trying to decipher maintenance codes from the receipt to the generic wording of the on-line template (is that the engine air filter or the cabin air filter?), etc. Most bizarre maintenance schedule I have ever seen!

My Sonata

I enjoy my Sonata. It was the first car I looked at. Once I saw it, I knew right then and there this was the car for me. It's chic, classy and just my kind of speed. I really love the dual sun roofs.

My sonata

Love my car 2012 Hyundai Sonata I purchased back in RI in 2015 drove cross country never had an issue until the engine blew driving from Nevada to SC Larry Miller dealer ship had me back on the road in 6 days with a brand new engine which was covered do to a recall on it so I have no complaints about my car finished my trip to SC I would definitely purchase another Sonata all day long but mine should last me a long time with a brand new engine
