This car has taken a beating and keeps on working like new. We have kept up with the service needs and have enjoyed this vehicle for our family. One day soon we would like to get the Hyundai crossover type vehicle.

Great car, amazing !

I love my Sonata. It’s responsive, quick and sporty!! I only wish it handled better in the snow.. but luckily it doesn’t snow too much. Overall my favorite car. Great recommendation for the price, really packed inside!

Great Car

I love the car. The only major problem I have had with it was this last service when I was told I need a transmission! Sine I only have 12 payments left I have opted to get the car repaired it will be worth it.

Great car until for first 5 years then been a lot of repairs

Good value, design and good car for 5 years but the the workmanship on the engine not so much. Engine and starter have went out. Even though I was fortunate to be covered under warranty I have been out of a vehicle for a total of 7 weeks in the past year and was unable to be reimbursed for tow fees and expenses incurred for vehicle breaking down out of town

2012 Sonata Review

The 2012 Sonata is the first Hyundai that I have ever purchased. Good looks and good fuel economy were the first items to catch my eye. I now have over 105k miles on my Sonata and I don't foresee trading it in anytime in the near future. Vehicle has exceeded 38 mpg on the interstate loaded with people and baggage with the air conditioner blasting. In town mileage is in the low to mid-30's. I've had some warranty work but far less than I would have expected. Service Department went above and beyond to make the repairs. Great value for the dollar, great fuel mileage and great service after the sale.

2012 Sonata

I am very pleased with my Sonata. It is the best car I have ever owned it gets wonderful gas mileage. Very comfortable to ride in and easy to drive. Has good get up and go. Nice large trunk. I especially like the push button starts and keyless entry

Satisfied

This car is everything that I asked for. Good milage, performance, and good ride. It has an excellent design. However, the plastic on the front is too low and I keep running into things when parking. Other that that , it's a great car. I'd buy another one in a minuet.

We are very disappointed in the mpg for a hybrid

We are very disappointed in the mileage. It is no where near what was advertised when we got the car. Winter time mileage is horrendous. Drops on average about 6 mpg. We gave had another Sonata. I like the ride of them.

I have had my Hyundai Sonata for 6 years now, and it's still going strong, The 5-year/60,000 mile warranty is one of the reasons I have purchased Hyundai vehicles for the past 18 years. I am very satisfied with the performance of my 2012 Hyundai Sonata.

Hyundai has Reached the Top!

I've watched Hyundai grow since it arrived in America. I didn't think too much about it early on...thinking that you get what you pay for. The price always looked good, but I really didn't want a foreign car - "Who knows, I might have to pay a leg and arm to repair it". As time went on and I became smarter, I realized that the changes in Hyundai were growing leaps and bounds! What actually changed my mind, was when I owned one! Daily I found little 'treats' that made my driving easier (American cars didn't provide these extras)! I later found that owning one of these cars didn't cost any more in maintenance than the American counterparts. And, the guarantees that came with it beat all others! I love Hyundai!

First generation hybrid had flaws.

I average 30mpg with this car driving very conservatively. I have replaced the transmission once(~50K), and it needs it again(90K). Designers obvioulsly don't live where it snows. The snow packs down and blocks the windshield spray causing a dangerous situation. Otherwise it is a very quiet car with a smooth ride. It does not have the feeling of being in a go cart with all the rattles. I has the opportunity to be a very nice ride, I hope they fix the engineering issues.

Sonota

I love my Sonota. It has had recalls but Lakeland has always fixed them without issue and in a timely manner. The car drives very well and has a lot of bells and whistles. I will keep buying the Sonota !

Great car for the price

The car has been reliable, consistently Around 31 mpg on the highway and 25-26 in town and it will get up and go when I need it to. My wife loves the look and loves driving the car. The only issues have been manufacture defects that were promptly taken care of by Hyundai without a hassle and Findaly Hyundai in St George, UT. Any car can have issues, so if the company is a pain to deal with, the car can only be a pain as well.

Love my car

I have had no problems with my car. Its sharp and people compliment me all the time. The pick up is great! It can sneak up to 80 without realizing it because it is so smooth. Be careful of that. Great mileage.

Nice car, but...

I fell in love with a Sonata in 1998, when the US Air Force sent me to Korea. I wanted one ever since. I saw a used one in 2014 ( 2012 Sonata Hybrid), and bought it. I am pleased with the fit and finish, the comfort levels, the creature comforts built in, the ride, and the looks. Unfortunately, the engine/battery system disappoints. At best, I get about 35 MPG on the highways, driving at speed limit. That is only slightly better than I got from my 2000 BMW 528i (I routinely got 33 MPG on my long trips), and the engine power, responsiveness, driveability, comfort, features, sound system, etc. were order of magnitude better. I expected all the latter from a car that cost tens of thousands more, so no surprise there. What I didn't expect was a hybrid car, with so modest "pep", to get so modest an improvement in miles per gallon. Something wasn't done right with the design or engineering with this vehicle.

Great car with issues.

The car has potential to be a great machine overall but too many obvious shortcuts during the manufacturing of it keeps it short of that greatness. However it is commendable of Hyundai to keep it's customers informed of the several recall inspections and free replacements. So far mine has failed all of them.

I was recently in a car wreck and my Hyundai sonata saved me from getting really hurt. Will only drive the Hyundai sonata from now on! Most people in my family also have Hyundai also. I just love this car.

2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybred

This has been a great handling car. It has plenty of zip when you need it, gets great gas mileage. I am averaging in town and out of town around 29MPG. The car often cause people to stop with comments like, "I like that color!" or those are neat headlights.

I like the mileage per the size of the car It has a lot of leg room and people think it is new because of the shape and style I like the way it handles on curves and the fact it has plenty of power and the fact the only way I know when it is using the electric mother is when I look at the dash
