Best Bang for your Buck!
Hyundai has been lacking for quite some time in the past. Designs were lame, and always behind other manufacturers. This changed in 2010, and Hyundai took a massive blow to everyone. This Sonata was a complete revamp of the old one, and I like it a lot. Even the most basic model (which we have) has features such as projector headlights, bluetooth and bluetooth calling, auto-manual transmission, and others. Very pleased with the interior as well, especially for a base model car of an MSRP of around $20k. The performance aspect isn't lacking either. Engine pulls very nicely. It kind of sounds like a quiet diesel engine, but I ain't even mad. Very smooth power curve, does not seem like power tapers off towards the end of the RPM range. ECU was tuned properly so the car shifts before the power curve tapers off, which is great. I put a K&N panel filter instead of the regular paper filter. Could see much needed increases in throttle response. As for suspension work, the car does feel good, not a very bumpy ride, but it lacks a strut bar, which basically makes the car feel like a whale when turning. It has a considerable amount of body roll imo. Warranty is also amazing. No one beats Hyundai's 100k/10yr powertrain warranty. Closest competitor I believe does 80k/8yr.
