Now I understand why people love cars
My in-laws turned me into a Camry guy in the 1990s and I had a Kia Optima because it was pretty Camry-like, and that was fine. I loved the first-generation "adaptive cruise control" in my wife's early-2000s Sienna minivan and said if I ever got another car, I'd want that... but had no plans to get rid of my Kia, until a guy ran a red light, crashed into me and totaled it. That unexpectedly put me in the market for a new car. I'd driven a low-end Sonata once as a rental and learned that line had the "adaptive cruise" feature...but only in the highest-end "Limited" package. I now understand how people fall in love with their cars. The factory-original tires were pretty bad in our Minnesota snows, and I wish I had front proximity sensors to help with parking. Other than that, this is the car I want to keep forever and ever.
